Grace is at the heart of the Christian faith. Nowhere is this more clearly seen than at the cross of Christ. It is grace that the Son of God took on flesh, and grace that he taught us how to live — but it is especially grace that he died on the cross in our place.
Moreover, this climactic grace shown at the cross has a specific shape — it has edges. These edges help us see what exactly happened when Jesus died. And it’s important that we see because seeing leads to worship — you can’t worship what you don’t know.
So in hopes of more clarity — fuel for worship — here are five biblical truths about what Jesus accomplished on the cross.

Donald continues to roll and somehow act like a hapless victim as he is winning the rest of the primaries. He accuses everyone of undermining him including Cruz who is actually his opponent. He wins over his followers on emotions but then so did Uncle Ronny. He will be the nominee and that point is driven home by the fact that he has picked Carly Fiorina in a desperation move for publicity. At the same time, he is attacked viciously by the moronic John Boehner. That is the best possible endorsement he could get for being antiestablishment. He should be the next Supreme Court nominee.

The word strongholds is found once in the New Testament, used metaphorically by Paul in a description of the Christian’s spiritual battle: “Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses [strongholds]” (2 Corinthians 10:3-4, NASB).

It was a busy week of sports: Laremy Tunsil and The NFL draft was yesterday, the NHL's second round began on Wednesday with the Islanders taking a 1-0 series lead, and the NBA playoffs are into their second round with many injuries to star players as well. Plus there's baseball with the Mets and Yankees seemingly going in different directions. All of that and more on the Sam Mines Sports Show. Tune in!
