"Neverland appeals to the child insode of every man, woman, and child. It's a place where I feel that you can return to your childhood. You find grown-ups, you know, doing things they haven't done since they were 10 years old. Its a wonderful place to be;its so much to do... So its just a fun place. I love it and I will always love it and I will never ever sell Neverland. Neverland is me. It represents the totality of who I am, it really does. I love Neverland."

Kirk and the "Uncanny" Daryll B. wax about the following issues: Dburt is incensed that MJ's Neverland Ranch is for sale (100m, allegedly) without being ascribed National Historic Landmark status; a recent Daily Beast article weighs in on the Marvel vs Fox Fantastic Four/X-men licensing beef; and speaking of Fox, it appears that the famed studio is looking to reboot The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen IP; Robert Rodriguez has been reportedly tapped to helm a Jonny Quest live action film (please no Spy Kids interpolation!); we finally get the chance to delve into DC's Convergence vs Marvel's Secret Wars; Image's Wicked+Divine are slated for a TV adaptation; Anyone notice the Nova Corp of color storyline in the latest Infinity Gauntlet comic this week? And then there's the Afronerd Radio segment starting at 7pm. Listen to Capt. Kirk and Dburt discuss the following: Dburt still has yet another take on how some POC misinterpret "respectability politics"; hypocrisy alert-2016 presidential hopeful and reknowned neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson appearing on a t-shirt with Dr. King raises eyebrows (I guess past depictions of Biggie/Tupac with various Black political heroes is ok, huh?); a Stanford University study affirms that Black students get punished more harshly than their White counterparts based on unconscious teachers' biases. And lastly, we will attempt to address topics missed from our last broadcast. Call in live at 646-915-9620.

This book will help you "feel" what it was like to be a close and trusted friend of Michael’s, about living in “Neverland,” personally sharing some of his very private “life's footsteps,” and involved in creating a magical wonderland through Michael’s wonderful childlike vision. Rob and Michael truly “brought out the child” in each other… like the time they howled in unison at a full moon… a precursor to the inspiration for the Thriller album.
You’ll learn the stories behind the one of a kind Grand Carousel,
the Zipper ride, which Michael declared as his favorite (claimed the world record for longest ride!), and the Marionette installations in the theatre building… and the disappointment about the roller coaster that never came to fruition.
Michael called Rob Swinson his “Maker of Dreams” and by the time you finish this lavishly illustrated book, with almost twohundred never before seen photos, you will salute Rob Swinson
for his commitment and artistry in creating Michael Jackson's fabled “Neverland Valley Park.”
12-year-old orphan Peter is spirited away to the magical world of Neverland, where he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny -- to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.
It’s fitting, I suppose, that a movie about the complicated man behind Apple be complicated as well and, in that sense, this adventurous Danny Boyle/Aaron Sorkin spin succeeds. But, is that dazzle enough?
Using an unconventional and certainly theatrical conceit, Sorkin plots his story in three distinct acts, each set as Jobs is to unveil a revolutionary new product. The backstage dramas reveal his difficult relationships with his co-workers and family through the years and it’s a nifty trick.

Krystal Shannan goes to sleep every night dreaming of mythical realms with werewolves, vampires, fae, and dragons. Occasional a fabulous, completely human story slips into the mix, but powers and abilities usually crop up without fail, twisting reality into whatever her mind can conceive.
As a child, her parents encouraged her interests in Ancient Greek and Roman mythology and all things historical and magickal. As an adult, the interests only grew. She is a child of Neverland and refuses to ever stop believing in fairies. She is guilty of indulging in and being a Buffy the Vampire Slayer groupie as well as an Angel fan. For those of you unfamiliar with the world of Joss Whedon, you are missing out!
She also makes sure to watch as many action and adventure movies as possible. The more exciting the better. Yippee-Ki-Yay… If you don’t know the end of that phrase, then you probably don’t like the same movies.
She enjoys reading romance in all genres, but especially paranormal. Her favorite book is ACHERON by Sherrilyn Kenyon. But really, if it has a ‘Happily Ever After’, she’s on board!
Krystal writes stories full of action, snark, magick, a little bit of humor, and heart-felt emotion. If you are looking for leisurely-paced sweet romance, her books are probably not for you. However, for those looking for a magickal ride, filled with adventure, passion, and just a hint of humor. Welcome home.
If you are looking for romance without magick, look no further…Krystal is also Emma Roman!
