Dr. Karen will be interviewing Dr. George Gonzalez, founder of Quantum Neurology Rehabilitation.
Dr. George Gonzalez's life’s work was uncovered through the journey of his wife’s spinal cord injury and recovery. One day his wife returned home from a massage session, barely able to walk or move the bottom half of her body. In one session with Dr. Marc Pick, D.C. a Doctor of Chiropractic who was well versed in neurology, she was able to walk again.
This experience revealed the amazing healing power of the Nervous System. Dr. Gonzalez immersed himself in the study of neurology and used his background in martial arts and chriopractic study to expand his thinking.
He successfully developed a customized healing technique that engages the natural healing powers of the nervous system called "Quantum Neurology Rehabilitation." He has been teaching these techniques around the world for over 10 years and has written four books on such healing techniques and practices.
Concussions are getting much-needed attention from the press, especially given the short and long-term cognitive loss, early-onset dementia, physical disability and even death resulting from traumatic brain injury (TBI).
One newly recognized specialty is chiropractic neurology, that had been used by hockey star Sidney Crosby recently. His chiropractic neurologist, Ted Carrick, uses a specific treatment for TBI treatment.
Chiropractic can be more then adjusting the subluxations in your body. Chiropractic neurology is an excellent example of why we need science-based practices to treat serious brain injury.

I became a chiropractor because it was the first time the values and philosophies of a profession lined up with my values & philosophies about life I truly believe that our bodies were created to last & that if we take care of them as they were designed they would function well throughout a lifetime. I still get the chills everytime I remember that our bodies are really just a beautifully organized collection of atoms. I feel there is a big contradiction in the philosophy of chiropractic & how chiropractic is practiced today. I’ve become very successful by teaching my patients & my community about the importance of getting checked for neurological competence VS actually getting adjusted. This has shown them the true healing capacity of their body. I’ve seen many of my female patients see unexpected successes in reproductive issues. I want to foster a new generation of naturally healthy kids. Kids who will be able to experience life in a body that was created to last from the get go. We spend so much time thinking about nursery colors, registry items,& frivolous things that won’t matter in a few years. Imagine how we could affect the health of our children for their entire life if we spent the same amount of time & energy on preparing baby’s first home, the mother’s womb?
In this episode of Epilepsy.com's Hallway Conversations, Dr. Joseph Sirven, Professor of Neurology at Mayo Clinic Arizona and Editor-in-Chief of Epilepsy.com, interviews Jon Davis about his "Shower Power" system.
Shower Power is a device designed to give people living with epilepsy peace of mind by discretely monitoring their movements while in one of the most vulnerable and dangerous locations in the home – the shower.
Mr. Davis won the $50,000 Judge’s Choice Award during the Shark Tank Competition at the Epilepsy Pipeline Conference 2014.
