Despite the 2015 NBA draft lottery playing out without many major surprises, the order still raises a handful of burning questions. Each top prospect in the NBA draft is his own man. There will never be another Michael Jordan, but there won't be another Jimmy Butler, either. The same is true for literally every player who steps foot onto an NBA court, no matter how well or poorly he may play. But that doesn't mean we can't try to find comparisons. Join @lock_tha_great , @jaihov and the producer of the show @howezzy26 as they discuss the hottest sports news of the past week and analyze the best NBA player comparisons for the top prospects in the 2015 NBA Draft.
The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Daniel Blanchard.
Dan Blanchard the Award Winning Author, Speaker, Educator two-time Junior Olympian Wrestler, and two-time Junior Olympian Wrestling Coach grew up as a student-athlete. However, Dan admits that as a youth he was more of an athlete than a student. Dan has now successfully completed fourteen years of college and has earned seven degrees. He teaches Social Studies in Connecticut’s largest inner-city high school. In addition, Dan is a Teacher Consultant for the University of Connecticut’s Writing Project. He was chosen by the American Federation of Teachers as their face and voice of educational reform. Because Dan’s students repeatedly asked him to write a book to tell others what he tells them, Dan finally listened and has now authored two dynamic teen leadership books, Granddaddy’s Secrets: Feeling Lucky? and Granddaddy’s Secrets: Feeling Good. His third book of the Granddaddy’s Secrets series, Feeling Strong! will be out next year. As an educator, coach, author, and speaker Dan feels that it is his duty to positively influence our youth every chance that he gets! He lives with his wife, Jennifer, their five children, and family dog, Daisy and is available for speaking engagements.
The Total Tutor Neil Haley will inteview author Mark Falkin.
In Mark’s book, he takes a deep look into the serious social upheaval that we have seen and more that there is to come in our immediate future. This politically charged debut brings up just what might be percolating under the surface of young America and is a timely discussion on the heels of an election year and in the midst of a crisis.
Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mark Falkin has lived in Texas for the last twenty years and has called Austin home for most of that time. By day, he is a literary agent and a recovering music attorney. His 2006 self-published novel, Days of Grace, was optioned for a film, and nominated for a national literary award, The Needle Award, at POD-dy Mouth blog. He writes, he reads, he tries to find time to paddle Texas waters, he goes for long walks, and he keeps an eye on his young daughters, snatching hugs here and there.
