in Real Estate
Adverse Possession is one of the most mis-understood concepts in real estate today. Many people THINK they can enter into a property which (they consider) abandoned and then proceed to set up house. They then think that if they can stay in the property so many years that they can then become the "legal owners" via "Adverse Possession".
Today on "It's My House" we shall put this urban myth to rest via our podcast titled: Adverse Possesion - A Thing Between Neighbors."
Please follow our slid show as well to get a better understanding of this concept.
This is what it sounds like to listen in to an exchange between neighbors when one opens his door to help; asking for nothing in return. He inspires a gift-wave of generosity. Listen as Guy Cummins and Mandy Cummins tell a woman that he can't fix her muffler, but another neighbor who chose to remain anonymous, donated $150 to have the muffler repaired. The donor said to tell the woman, "It is from a Boone County Neighbor". A divorcee with four children, who works for one of the schools, she couldn't afford the repair. Thanks to her neighbors she now has what she needs. Keep listening to the episode to find out what other really cool thing they have in common! Go Boone County! Ride the wave!
