The Ku Klux Klan was first formed in 1866, through the efforts of a small band of Confederate Veterans in Tennessee. Quickly expanding from a localized membership, the KKK has become perhaps the most resonant representation of white supremacy and racial terror in the U.S. Part of the KKK's enduring draw is that it refers not to a single organization, but rather to a collection of groups bound by use of now iconic racist symbols -- white hoods, flowing sheets, fiery crosses -- and a predilection for vigilante violence. How many corporations or companys does the KKK have their hands in? If we know that these company's were built by white supremacy why are we supporting them?
You've seen or heard of the poker competitions on national TV, where you can hear a pin drop, as masterminds play this mind game of "call my bluff if you can". Then out of no where one player decides to say those bold words "Im going all in". And yes, there's great risk involved for sure, not knowing what to expect next they could have very well lost it all. With God the stakes are much higher, give our all to him and watch him work or give little and play it safe with little or no impact for the kingdom. Along with that is a hard and changeless heart that only seeks to gratify the flesh and its desires rather than God. We are left wandering what freedom from sin looks like because of our failure to turn over every issue, problem addiction or lust deep in our hearts and minds. What is the one area that God is asking you to turn over to Him? Is there any part of your life your not surrendering? We all at times are tempted to give God just a little or just enough to get by. The abundant life in Christ is there for all who will give their heart, soul, mind and strength to the Lord and be used to do only what He knows your capable of when we die to self and rest in Him.
Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., has received a response to his letter demanding answers from Secretary of State John Kerry about the planned resettlement of dozens of foreign refugees in his state.
But the answers failed to shed much light on the secrecy that surrounds the refugee program. The process by which cities and towns across the U.S. are selected to receive displaced persons from United Nations refugee camps remains largely a mystery.
As Gowdy discovered, the city of Spartanburg, South Carolina, was approved for an infusion of 60 refugees, mostly from Syria and Africa, by its own state government headed by Republican Gov. Nikki Haley.
And if the program plays out in Spartanburg as it has in communities in Minnesota, California, Texas, Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and other states, then the 60 refugees will blossom into hundreds and eventually thousands every year. Minnesota, for example, is now receiving more than 2,000 Muslim refugees annually, mostly from Somalia. Texas receives more than 7,000 per year, and California more than 6,000, directly from the Third World. -- WND.com
Tonight we'll talk with Dr. Christina Jeffrey who was quoted in the WND article by Leo Hohman about this growing and alarming problem.
