Portland TrailBlazer fans are upset. Four of the teams' starters from a year ago are gone. Damian Lillard is the only starter left. Does he have what it takes to live up to a new and higher-demanding leadership role on the team this coming season?
His journey to the NBA suggests that he is. Damian has been an underdog his entire career and has constantly proved his critics wrong. Making it out of East Oakland is a feat not to be overlooked either...
Joining me on this 4th episode of "Ben on Hoops" is Oakland native and Sports editor of the Beacon Newspaper, Ms. Malika Andrews. She gives her thoughts on Damian Lillard and the present state of the Portland TrailBlazers.

Catching Up with All Lakers News & Rumor
So I'm headed out the door when Reynaldo screams my name out to tell me to come back in and check out what's on TV, so I'm getting back as fast as I can, and I see STEPHANIE THE LAKER GURL BEARD about to make the final shots of a tie game, if she makes it - they go to the playoffs, if she doesn't, they go home with another drab season of performance. All she needs to do is make one shot, if she makes the one shot, they're in, the shot goes up and in, but there's a buzzer - a buzzer, a buzzer - damn, it's just my alarm clock buzzing, I was dreaming. Damn! 347-205-9366 - Don't sleep this one - get ready for it - Laker basketball talk, here on the JKN. 347-205-9366.

Jeremy and Chris are back to continue our preview series of each team before the season begins. This week we discuss UNLV and their first season under new head coach Tony Sanchez.
Sanchez is moving up from perennial top high school program from Las Vegas' Bishop Gorman to UNLV which may or may not have as good as facilities as a high school program in the area.
There is a lot of work for the Rebels but luckily they are in the weaker West Division and have a top wide receiver in Devonte Boyd. Also, having Blake Decker as their starting quarterback in place is a leg up on most teams in the conference.
We also go over Mountain West media days with the interesting quotes from coaches and payers, plus go over the all-conference and order of finish.
