    Navy Seals Fund

    in Health

Navy SEALs Fund is a non-profit organization established in December of 2009 by the Founders of Maritime Tactical Security, Inc., former Navy SEALs themselves. Our primary mission is to provide relief through educational and/or financial assistance for the teammates and families of current and former Navy SEALs. As a small non-profit, we are able to respond quickly to urgent and unique needs. The Navy SEALs Fund facilitates help for current, retired, and former Navy SEALs/families in need of assistance as a result of injury or loss of life. We also provide legal financial assistance for all branches of the military for combat related charges and even post-military cases where the Integrity of the Veteran or Uniform is being defended. Our first endeavor was to garner support and financial assistance for three Navy SEALs legal defense needs. Three Navy SEALs were accused by a terrorist of giving him a “fat lip”. They were fully exonerated!
The members of the Navy SEALs Fund thank you for your selfless service to our country. Please be assured that we will do everything we can to assist you and your family in this time of need. We provide assistance in the following areas:

    Oh, Navy Seals!

    in Movies

On this weeks episode of Death By DVD Hank and Nash discuss.. well, we're not sure. Something. Or another.

An open discussion on modern horror, remakes, and the fact that some of you people watch the dumbest movies ever made. Or maybe we'll just make 30 minutes worth of bad jokes, yell a little whole lot abit, and uh, yeah.

How'd you guys like the Kevin Smith reference for a title? Yeah, how about that, a Kevin Smith joke. We're writing millions of gold plated zingers like that every day. Impressed, I bet.

Iraqi hero who served with Navy Seals, Ukraine update and Murrow anniversary

    in Politics

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Making Sense with Steve Leser the show that breaks down the top issues in the last week in politics strips out all the nonsense and provides you the best analysis in political media.

This week we have a special interview with a native Iraqi interpreter who ended up working with the Navy Seals in Iraq and cowrote a book about it. Codenamed Johnny Walker, Mr. Walker joins us along with his co-author Jim DeFelice. Before we get to that interview, we have continuing coverage of the situation in Ukraine and after that if we have time, a special 60th anniversary of an important broadcasting event and first looks at who won the 2016 Presidential Poll at CPAC, the Conservative conference that ended this past Saturday.

At the end we will have our trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively.

Our guest for the full hour will be Jason Redman, author of The Trident: The Forging and Reforging of a Navy SEAL Leader.

He deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in 2007, and in September was severely wounded.

  • Operation: Next Chapter

    in Military

Operation: Next Chapter is “working with Soldier’s Angeles Project: Valour-IT to provided 100 voice-controlled, adaptive lap-top computers for military personnel who have lost the use of their hands.  Vietnam Veteran and author Cym Lowell will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of his latest novel, Jasper’s War, to purchase these individually adapted computers which cost $500 a piece.  The laptops allow warriors who are healing from amputations, paralysis, eye injuries, burns and brain trauma to stay in touch with their family and their units during their recovery period.”

Cym Lowell "was born in Montana to academics and spent his youth traveling the world. To put it politely, he was an undistinguished student, rewarded with assignment to the U.S. Navy at 18. After two years in Vietnam, college and law school were a challenge. Being a veteran in the political turbulence of the late 1960s and early 1970s taught humility. Raising three children in the Midwest and Texas brought love and responsibility. An international tax practice in the financial crises of the past 40 years provided insight into motivations of actors on the global stage. Friends, clients, adversaries, and colleagues, like victory and defeat, added color and context. The result is a writer with a treasure trove of experience to frame compelling characters enmeshed in heart-thumping challenges." Cym Lowell is the author of The Gift, Riddle of Berlin and Jaspar's War.
