Save The Kids Radio HipHop Power Hour Commemorating Black August!
Black August originated in the California penal system to honor fallen Freedom Fighters, Jonathan Jackson, George Jackson, William Christmas, James McClain and Khatari Gaulden. Jonathan Jackson was gunned down outside the Marin County California courthouse on August 7, 1970 as he attempted to liberate three imprisoned Black Liberation Fighters: James McClain, William Christmas and Ruchell Magee. Ruchell Magee is the sole survivor of that armed liberation attempt. He is the former co-defendant of Angela Davis and has been locked down for 38 years, most of it in solitary confinement. George Jackson was assassinated by prison guards during a Black prison rebellion at San Quentin on August 21, 1971. Three prison guards were also killed during that rebellion and prison officials charged six Black and Latino prisoners with the death of those guards. These six brothers became known as the San Quentin Six.
Along with this great topic, Kym Young will be co-hosting live from the NCWP Lammas Arts & Music Festival in Superior, WI!

Pastor LaTarsha D. Holden, MBA
LaTarsha Holden is a native of Atlanta, GA. She was a walking statistic: high-school drop-out, four kids by the age of twenty-two, welfare recipient, low self-esteem, mentally, verbally and physically abused. The predictable outcome was a life of poverty, dependency on welfare, uneducated and underemployed with little chance of success.
Amazingly at thirty-five while homeless with six children she decided to fight for her dreams and children and enrolled in college. LaTarsha is a loving and devoted mother of six children and grandmother of four.
She is now an emerging leader in the city of Atlanta. She has an A.A. degree in Biblical Education, a B.A degree in Leadership and Administration, a MBA degree and now she is pursuing a Master’s of Divinity degree from Beulah Heights University as well. She was also nominated to be included in the 2014 edition of Who’s Who among
A number of unmarried black women has substantially grown, the actual birthrate (measured by births per 1000) for black women is at the lowest point that it’s ever been. So while a larger number of black women are choosing not to marry, many of those women are also choosing not to bring kids into the world which is not a good thing for our race. But why? There are so many single Black Women, yet society makes us feel like we are bitter or angry when we want to vent and get some things off of our chest. We are going to get some issues off of our chest to heal. It’s easy for the man to run away yet is it just as easy for the women to run away from her responsibilities? What about the guy that keeps poppin out babies from multiple women? We can’t be angry about that? Tune in to find out

Is Listening to outside influences for relationship advice from friends, family, associates, and the like a recipe for disaster? If not, when is a good time to seek advice from others? Is there any valuable influence you can get for your relationship or marriage that can be obtained outside of it? Or is ‘Talking out of school’ always a recipe for disaster?

Hr1 Useless facts, like... Did you know a porcupine floats in water?
Jobs report. Yep, still no good. More layoffs.
Xander Gibb brings a little Xandermonium to the show. Liberals, Cecil the Lion, abortion, Planned Parenthood, word police, and political correctness run amok.
Hr2 University indoctrination? Do you know what your kids are learning? Trust me, it's anti-American. Steven Crowder does man-on-the-street.
Politicizing comic book heros. Superman says #blacklivesmatter. Iceman and Green Lantern are gay. Really? Can't we just let kids be kids? Political indoctrination.
Discrimination: Indian restaurant fined for trying to hire Indian waiter. Oh the horror!
Hr3 President of the National Organization for Women (NOW) Terry O'Neill says, "Moms love Planned Parenthood."
Feminist man embraces open marriage for his wife. Further erosion of the marriage foundation. I guess marriage "vows" don't really matter if you change your mind.
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
