TOPIC: Navajo Nation Council Legislation on Language fluency. On Thursday night, October 23, 2014, during the Navajo Nation Council Fall Session they passed Legislation on the controversial Navajo Language Fluency listing in the qualification listing on the Navajo Nation Presidential Qualification Listing.
There are proponents as well as opponents of this legislation. What does this legislation mean for the Navajo Nation in terms of any cultural realted clause on standing laws?
What precedence does it set for future Navajo Nation cultural related, i.e., Navajo Preference, Navajo Nation Business Opportunity Act (NBOA), etc.?
Will Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly sign the law on Monday?

Pro Tem Speaker Lorenzo Bates has confirmed and will be on-air to discuss the latest development regarding the removal vs Administrative leave of Speaker Johnny Naize. We have confirmation from Honorable Delegate Russell Begaye to be on the show. We also invited Honorable Delegate Alton Shepherd the sponsor of the legislation.
We will discuss the motion Super-Majority vs Majority votes, the Temporary Restraint Order/Injunction, Navajo Nation Judge Carol Perry response and what it means for the Navajo Nation Legislative Branch.

NAVAJO TALK RADIO: EPA Animas River Disaster. And everyone downstream, the entire river system borders the Navajo Nation, what will be the environmental fallout?
The United States Environmental Protection Agency had made a major screw up and but they say it's not harmful. I invited the President of the Navajo Nation Russell Begaye but they are on-site reviewing with EPA Officials, I hope they make it back in time.
I will also invite the Navajo Nation Council Speaker Lorenzo Bates. Hopefully they will all join us to give us an update. This is a serious situation. But I can assure you, it is harmful!
