Do we always choose the best person to do the things that we want done in life? Repairs? Relationships? Employment? Would we be chosen if the criteria for things were based on who was truly better at things? Who determines who's better at something than someone else is? Is better always the same across the board? Sometimes the person who is on the scene gets chosen to do things and uses the opportunity to reach their goals. Can this happen in a relationship? Can that last? That's what we're taking about this morning at 6am ET on The Daily Gogetemism Show. Check it out. Call 347-677-`533 to listen live. Akane asks: How is third person omniscient different from head hopping? I’m reading a book YA called The Red Necklace by Sally Gardner. Personally, I feel like the author is head hopping like a motherfucker, but maybe it’s third person omniscient? Even after listening to your latest podcast this morning, I’m still not sure what the difference between the two are.
Rogue53 asks: I have to agree with Akane, I’m still not really sure about the differences between all of the 1st person and third person writing. I can’t even tell what I’m writing in, let alone anyone else.
Quick & Dirty Tips: First, Second, and Third Person
Third Person Omniscient
We have touched on the Abuse in so many spheres on our shows but never in this way!!!
This next show promises to be very enlightening as we would be having join us a former victim and advocate for abused folks in the person of BUKOLA ORIOLA. We are very excited to have her join us, so make ita point to be a part of the show as well next Tuesday! We all could learn a thing or 2!
Join my special guest Phyllistene Lawson for a discussion of her book Quilt of Souls. Quilt of Souls is a memoir that represents the author's childhood, her loving grandmother, and an old, tattered quilt that tells the untold stories that have long since been hushed. A quilt sewn with the used clothing of her grandmother's loved ones. Each piece of fabric woven into the quilt tells stories of how that person lived and died. Tragic stories of pain and suffering threaded back together with each healing stitch of perseverance and courage. Grandma Lula Horn (1883-1986) was like many other grandmothers of her era, a pioneer, and a symbol of hope who found alternative ways to soften the horrors of racism and bigotry.
Ms. Lawson completed her military career in 2013. Prior to her completing 20 years of military service, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Ms. Lawson is married with two sons and five Granddaughter’s and currently reside in Florida.
Torn: I Dont Need You, But I Want You
Latavia Carter can’t live or face the present because she’s stuck in her past. She marries the man of her dreams but she’s unable to appreciate him because of her haunting past. Lies, secrets, and infidelity cause her life and the ones around her to spiral out of control. But is it her fault? How can it be when just about everyone in her immediate circle has a secret of his or her own? Who can she trust? Better yet, how can she trust anyone when she can’t even trust herself?
Darnell Carter, also known as Latavia’s Aladdin, is the epitome of the perfect man. His decision to keep a one-night stand a secret sends the world he’s worked so hard to build crumbling down, placing him in a life-or-death situation. Forced to take matters into his own hands, as divorce isn’t an option in his eyes, Darnell promises to honor his vows—by any means necessary! He is a firm believer of his vow, “Until death do us part”, which he doesn’t take lightly.
Nariah Westbrook is a scorned woman faced with demons of her own. She believes a man is only good for one thing—if he can manage to get that right. If sex doesn’t include her being in a position of power, she wants nothing to do with it—until she finds herself falling in love with Mahogany, who is emotionally unavailable and isn’t the person she set out to be. Nariah allows sex to dictate her life, which in turn fucks her and the world around her real good.
Come take a journey into this romantic thriller of sex, lies, and betrayal, and see if Torn won’t have you second guessing who you can trust—especially if your wants overshadow your needs.

Terry starts the podcast asking everyone to step back from extended foster care for a moment and to look back at the reason youth came into care to begin with. She expands on children enter into foster care because they don't have a family or "home," and then relates it to the concept of extended foster care by suggesting that an unlimited number of resources is no good, unless a person isconnected to a family structure or "home."
