9 am Sunday morning Divine Service for Sunday 4/26/15. Traditional liturgy and law gospel sermon. Pastor Houser’s sermon from the gospel of John 10:11-18. The name by which God knows us unto salvation. We are baptized in name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In the gospel reading, the Sadducees forbade preaching in Jesus name. The ask the disciples, “by what power or by what name do you do this?” Peter answered it was Jesus’ name.
In the gospel reading Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd...and I lay down my life for the sheep.” Even though we do not descend from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; we have been added to the fold because Jesus laid down his life. All nations have a good shepherd and Jesus is the name that saves in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jeremiah's Letter to the Exiles
…12'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14'I will be found by you,' declares the LORD, 'and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,' declares the LORD, 'and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.'…Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near...

We're living in a time in which most of us watch the news or read the news as it may be and many people become quite unsettled. When we're dealing with terrorism, race wars, disputes between people and their government, protesting this, boycotting that, battles between church and state, Christians and nonchristians, Christians and Muslims, Muslims and seemingly everyone else, it can shake a person up pretty good. These are certainly tumultuous times we're living in today. Why is that? Who's to blame? Today, I wanted to do a little bit of a word study on "tumult" in the bible. We'll tackle some verses and areas where the word appears and hopefully we'll settle who causes the problems in the world today and why. That's on today's show at 4:30 Eastern time, archived after that.
For the sake of brevity, let's just get into it shall we? Join the "Uncanny" Daryll B., Dburt and Capt, Kirk for another raucous episode of The Grindhouse (Comic Shoppe segment at 6pm, Afronerd Radio at 7pm) courtesy of the Afronerd Radio machine. For the 6pm Comic Shoppe segment, the the pop culture puzzles slated to be deciphered are: our thoughts of a classic X-man "coming out" in the latest All New X-Men comic; Jared Leto tweets out a pic of his interpretation of the Joker; Native American actors walk out during the filming of a new Adam Sandler Netflix project over charges of racism; Dr. Strange's Benedict Cumberbatch might appear in Netflix's upcoming Iron Fist; a New Republic piece ponders why Batman outpaces Superman in American popularity; Franz Drameh (Attack the Block) joins the Arrow/Flash spinoff as of yet unknown character. Lastly, Daredevil's Drew Goddard reportedly wants to bring the Savage Land to the MCU.
At 7pm, join Capt. Kirk and Dburt for the latest edition of Afronerd Radio. The issues to be cooked on the barbecue grill this week are: legendary jazz trumpeter, Hugh Masekela refuses to take photos with weave wearers; comedian, Chris Rock laments the decline of Black players in MLB; White teachers spark controversy by holding up "Black Lives Matter" signs in St. Louis; decathlon legend, Bruce Jenner proclaims his transgender status to the world; Dr. Cornel West responds to former colleague, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson via facebook (and public intellectual rap battles are not ahistorical) and lastly, Creflo Dollar channels Leslie Gore by affirming that "he can have plane if he wants to" ( yawn). Now it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: "Take a scroll of a book and write on it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel, against Judah, and against all the nations, from the days of Josiah even to this day.

On the occasion of International Press Freedom Day, World Footprints was invited by the United Nations Foundation to attend a powerful event sought to change the narrative and examine women's voices in fragile states and why those voices matter. The UN Foundation co-hosted a distinguished panel which was led by Ambassador Melanne Verveer of the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security. She was joined by Krista Hendry from The Fund for Peace, Amy Slaughter and Yar Ayuel with RefugePoint and award-winning filmmaker Elaisha Stokes. The panel discussed the challenges that women face in fragile states and areas where women are taking the lead in reconcilation. They also examined what happens to girls and women as the most vulnerable and neglected victims in conflict afflicted states, and why telling these stories is important.

With the up tick in modern warfare to the closing of society, we are witnessing before our eyes history reparting itself. Actions taken from the same play book as WWII, and how quickley we forget our history. The signs from above should wake all nations to the coming of Jesus Christ. Tonight we will discuss all this and the reasons why. 8pm Central

He was invited to the event to speak and share his short film, “Sing a Little Louder.” The clip of Jeremy is followed by the speeches made by Pastor Jonathan Cahn, Lt. Gen.
