SORT BY Relevancy
Jeremy and Chris go through the nine games of the third week of Mountain West football and discuss the highs and lows of the league so far. We both fell that Boise State is the best team in the league and that Nevada really has a chance to compete in the West.
We go deep into Fresno State to try to figure out what is going wrong with that team. Is it coaching, lack of talent, scheme or just maybe we are holding onto some shred of that Fresno State is still a good team and blame the difficult schedule.
We do get to Chuckie Keeton leaving the first half of the Wake Forest game by re-injuring the same knee that he tore his ACL last year. As of this time there is no update on the status of Keeton's knee.
The teams in the Western part of the country are the most underrepresented of the lot. That's the why this show, the NFL West Recess, vows to fight against West Coast Bias . . . one show at a time. But as we work towards helping that cause, that's not to say we don't have fun as well. After all, it's the NFL -- the game we know and love -- and we make sure you know more of it so that you can have fun loving it more.

What about all the other fine shenanigans that have happened in the news this week? We've got that too! We call it “Mock the Week” and we will SO be mocking the stupidity that we have seen out there!

You've all seen the Wabashiki Turtle Research and Rescue Group and the problem at the Wabashiki Welands talked about on Facebook. On this episode of HTR you will find out exactly how big the problem is and what you can do to help.
Dozens of turtles are being run over on highway 40/150 along the Wabashiki protected wetlands at West Terre Haute Indiana. Here are plans for a system of culverts under the highway designed to give the turtles safe passage that was drafted by engineering students at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology:https://www.facebook.com/download/822434907791390/Rose%20Turtle%20Proposal.pdf
The Indiana Department of Transportation turned these plans down. The Indiana Department of Transportation can be contacted at: http://www.in.gov/indot/2330.htm
This exact same thing has been done before here: http://www.lakejacksonturtles.org/
