Susan has taught ballet, tap, jazz and fitness for over 25 years to children and adults. She has integrated her spiritual background into her Healing Yoga Classes and also incorporated stress reduction techniques that she practiced with returning Soldiers form the Afghanistan and Iraqi wars.
Her degrees are Master of Theology from Holos University Graduate Seminary (Energy Medicine/Transpersonal Psychology) , and a Bachelor of General Studies from Northwestern State University – Natchitoches, Louisiana. She is Board Certified as a Minister of International Science of the Mind Church for Spiritual Healing, International Science of the Mind Church for Spiritual Healing. She holds certifications as a Registered Yoga Instructor through the Yoga Alliance, is a Personal Fitness Trainer, Certified Intuitive Healer, Reiki Master and a Certified Instructor of Past Life Therapy. Jacqueline Stewart, a wife and mother was born and raised in Many, La. She is the youngest of five children, and is the daughter of two loving parents, Ernest and Deloris White. It was when her family decided to move their membership to Word of Truth church of Many, La that Jacqueline’s life began to change for the better. It was there that she realized the destiny of the Lord for her life. Jacqueline is a two time graduate of Teen Mania Ministries of Garden Valley, TX, and is a graduate of Northwestern State University of Natchitoches, Louisiana where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in theatre. Jacqueline’s vision of writing began when she and her husband were members of the Abundant Life church of Natchitoches, La. The pastor knew of her degree in theatre, and encouraged her to write a play. Her first play, “Only a House” was a hit in the local community. Jacqueline has written several other plays, songs and poems, and is now sharing the message of God by writing books. Her books, Gossip “The Intent to Kill” and “Jealous to Death” encourage emotional, mental and spiritual healing, as well as obedience to the will of God. Jacqueline’s desire is that all mankind be saved, healed, delivered and set free by the power of God. She lives in the love of God, and prays that others will live in that love as well.

Louisiana Creole culture has benefited from the contributions of many cultural groups. One of the least known of these contributing groups are the Native American tribes and communities in the across the state. To discuss the Native roots of Creole culture program guests will include:
Dr. Andrew Jolivette associate professor and chair of American Indian Studies at SFSU. He is the author of two books, Cultural Representation in Native America and Louisiana Creoles: Cultural Recovery and Mixed Race Native American Identity. His areas of interest include: the Urban Indian Experience, Critical Mixed Race Studies,and HIV/AIDS disparities in Indigenous and People of Color communities. Jolivette is the editor of a special volume of the UCLA AICRJ on Native people post Hurricane Katrina. He is currently the Tribal Historian for the Atakapa-Ishak Nation. Jolivette's ancestors include the Guillory, Guidry and Fontenot families of Opelousas, Mallet, Lawtell,Church Point, Rayne, Sunset, Eunice and the greater St. Landry Parish area.
Prof.Rain Gomez (L. Rain C Gomez) is winner of the 2009 First Book Awards competition in Poetry from the Native Writers' Circle of the Americas, for her manuscript, Smoked Mullet Cornbread Memory. Rain is a Mestizo of primarily Louisiana Choctaw, Louisiana Creole, and Mvskoke descent paternally and Canadian Sioux and CelticAmerican (métis) descent maternally. Prof Gomez’s are of study is Native American Studies and Gender, her research is concerned with Mvskogean Diaspora and Louisiana Creole Indigeneity as manifested in material culture ways and literature. Work includes “Brackish Bayou Blood: Weaving Mixed Blood Indian Creole Identity Outside the Written Record,” in the AICRJ special edition, and poetry in Ahani: Indigenous American Poetry. Prof. Gomez is Area Chair of Native/Indigenous Studies, SW/TX PCA Conference. Rain’s family has Creole and Indigenous roots in Natchitoches’, St Landry, Calcasieu, Allen, and Sabine parishes.
