Today on Talking In Circles we discuss all things from the rain soaked weekend at Michigan International Speedway. Kurt Busch's 27th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory. Who had a great weekend who had a bad weekend?
Also we discuss the rumor about Furniture Row Racing moving to Toyota. Is there merit to it and why would the organzation, who is having their best season in 2015, make such a drastic move?
Also we talk about the potential new rule changes coming to NASCAR. Looks like the rule changes will take effect at Kentucky Speedway although that hasn't been confirmed yet. Sounds like NASCAR is leaning towards track specific templates and we'll discuss whether that's a good move or a bad move and whether NASCAR is making the right decision by making these changes so fast.
Also Jack Roush discussed NASCAR's new laser procedure and how he feels the laser is not always accurate. Roush said on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio that the weather sometimes throws it off and teams understand that and try and find the grey area to make those adjustments. Also teams had trouble getting through tech inspection Friday during qualifying. What does that mean now that the comments Roush said?
Also Kyle Busch won the Xfinity Series race on Saturday. Won in his first race back in the Xfinity Series. We discuss what that means for the rest of the competition and who is the favorite to win the championship in that series right now. Next week's race is in Chicagoland.
Also NASCAR Camping World Truck Series- Cole Custer wins, Matt Crafton crashes. Reddick is 19 points behind Crafton. Trucks move to Iowa this week.
Plus we take your phone calls. All that and more on Talking in Circles.
Cup- Slugger Labbe new crew chief for Austin Dillon. Replaces Gil Martin. Dillon is 23rd in the points with just 1 top 10 finish. Has 2 wins in XFINITY in 11 starts this season. Thoughts?
Future crew chief changes? Chad Johnston, Jay Guy, Bob Osborne.
XFINITY- Erik Jones wins, nice weekend for the 19 year old driver. swept both the truck race at Iowa and the XFINITY Series race at Chicagoland. Jones is showing he is a top young driver in the sport right now.
Ryan Blaney finished 2nd. He was the fastest car there. Went from the rear of the field after crashing in happy hour and finished runner-up
Chris Buescher manages a decent finish. 5th spot, stayed out on a caution when NASCAR opened/closed pit road. Big benefit for him. Got track position, never gave it up.
Buescher now leads Ty Dillon by 29 points. Dillon finished 9th. Gotta do better in an X-Only race.
Lap 151- Dylan Lupton brings out caution and NASCAR race control calls Pit Road Open. The problem is the flag man either didn’t hear it or had a major brain fart and failed to make the light green coming down pit road. What happened was drivers went down pit road with the red light resulting in a penalty for those drivers. Craziness and sad we even had to deal with it.
Next Xfinity Series race- Daytona, after off weekend.
Trucks- Erik Jones wins as I mentioned before.
Brandon Jones finished in the 2nd, Reddick 3rd, Crafton 4th and Christopher Bell 5th.
Landon Cassill misses X race- good move?
Jamie Dick’s team closes down. Viva Motorsports- sign of things to come?

On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles, Clayton has the week off, and we bring in John Harlow from BeyondtheFlag.com for his tutelage on the sport.
We'll talk about the racing we saw at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. What'd ya'll think of the new package that NASCAR put out there? Why was attendance and ratings down for this week?
Kyle Busch won the Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 @ the Brickyard, and it's his third straight win and fourth in five races.
We'll talk about Kyles' dominance and why Brandon thinks this stretch of races for Kyle Busch is much more impressive than people know.
We'll also discuss strategies of Tony Stewart and David Ragan last Sunday at Indianapolis. They chose short pitting. Brandon and John will discuss these strategies and whether or not they work in this era of NASCAR.
We'll talk about Jeff Gordon's day, and how he did in his final start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Brandon will go on in saying that NASCAR is at fault for ruining the storyline that they had going into the race.
We'll also talk about the NASCAR Xfinity Series race in Indianapolis, and of course the Eldora dirt race for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
The race in Eldora was phenominal and created buzz for race fans all around the country. Is it time for Xfinity or Cup even to go dirt racing? Why or why not? And Kyle Petty said some interesting quotes about this on NASCAR America following the Eldora race, and Brandon will try and dispute those comments.
Also, we'll talk about race winner Christopher Bell, and the man of the hour in the truck series, Bobby Pierce and why their futures in NASCAR is up in the air.
And also, Danica's sponsorship, and some interesting stuff going down at MWR.
And your phone calls at 917-889-8280
Denny Hamlin won the All-Star race beating Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch. It's Hamlin and JGR's first win in the All-Star race as well as Toyota's first win.
Who was impressive? Does this win do anything for you as far as Toyota making gains on the mile and a half? Who were you surprised didn't do well?
Jimmie Johnson potential penalty. Does this matter since it's a non-points event? Should the penalty be stiffer?
Sprint Showdown Friday- Biffle and Boywer transfer- Again does this do anything as far as making gains?
The format. Do you like the format? How was the racing last night?
Also NC Education Lottery 250- Kasey Kahne beats Erik Jones by an inch. Jones ran a great race and dominated most of the event. Kahne's truck fails post race inspection. Thoughts? Will they take the win away?
When will these teams stop cheating? Should drivers start being suspended?
Points in the truck series.
James Buescher is out of a ride in the Truck Series. http://www.catchfence.com/2015/truckseries/05/14/statement-from-james-buescher/ We'll talk about his comments.
Kyle Busch is officially granted his waiver. Is that right? Our thoughts about that.
Entry list for Coca-Cola 600....48 cars for 43 spots. Nice car count.
Joe Shelton from BeyondTheFlag.com calls to talk about the upcoming Indianapolis 500. Is there a safety concern for these cars going up in the air? Who's a favorite to win? What team is a favorite win?
