    Stop being personality driven!!!

    in The Bible

Most people nowadays are what is called "personality driven". What this means is a person who follows and supports individuals based on something that they like about them, not based on truth and facts. For example, Eddie Long just paid out millions of dollars due to homosexual affairs with boys, yet the membership at his church is still larger than most congregations in the world. So on and so forth, let's talk about it.

Troubled Times Don't Last: Never Give Up

    in The Bible

There's one thing for sure. We all face dark and difficult times in lifes journey. You may find yourself in a difficult and hard situation as you read this. But if you do, there is good news. You can actually have a peace of mind and gain spiritual and emotional strength while you are waiting for your breakthrough. You don't have to be depressed and have a doom and gloom attitude. Yes, it's hard. Even when we know God is good, it can be stressful on us while we are waiting for Him to deliver us from a bad situation. But don't second guess God. Don't give up on God. He is faithful. He will get you through no matter what you face. The issue is HOW we wait for God to change something. There is a time period between what we are waiting for and God answering our prayer. So what do we do while we are waiting? The radio show today will talk about what we should do, while waiting on God.We can have peace and joy, even in our hard times, if we wait the "right" way.

January Jones-Finding Your Road with Daniel Patrick

    in Entrepreneur

Patrick Daniel is the author of 'Finding Your Road to Success - How to get there without getting lost', a self-help motivational and inspirational book aimed at shattering the notion that success is a myth.

Patrick became something close to independently wealthy by the tender age of 30. But what is even more admirable about Patrick is that he realized at a young age that true success is achieving goals that are more than monetary.

As a successful chartered accountant and owner of his own accounting company, the author's credentials are unquestionably well suited for this book.

'Finding Your Road to Success' is a must-read for anyone who needs a shot of optimism. "Life is filled with solutions, not problems" is at the core of Patrick's "glass half-full" attitude, and you'll find this attitude with every turn of the page.

    "How Do I Start?" #568

    in Spirituality

Have you experienced the thought, "How Did I Go Wrong?"  The idea in this question is the realization that everyting is not as I planned or thought or dreamt it would be, and, I don't like where I am.  Along with this is the inherent understanding that "Something needs to change!"

If you've been there, then you've probably attempted to work through the following question as well:  "Where do I start?"  or, "How Do I Start?"   There are lots of voices out there that are willing to guide you also; perhaps you've tried some of them.  I have.  How have they worked for you?

Today's message continues the general discussion of "Closing The Integrity Gap" that exists between where I am and where I want to be.  the steps I offer in this message are quite simple.  The difficulty will be in your willingness to dump most of your current belief system and be willing to receive someting that will be new to some of you.

Resistance to moving forward is a common caracteristic in a lot of people; it results in discomfort, even pain.  It comes from living within the confines and controls of established belief systems that may or may not have worked very well, and yet, we are reluctant to change probably because we don't hurt enough and/or we are concerned about what a new belief system would mean or were it would lead.

My invitation to you today is to join me as we look at "Closing The Integrity Gap" by discovering "How Do I Start?"

#273 Noel and Bill's Private Phone Conversation Made Public FINALLY

    in Spirituality

Podcast #273 took me awhile to "get posted". Something I discovered is that Windows Ten, which I recently upgraded to before attempting to post this podcast, has alot in common with the King James Version of the Bible. Okay, that seems to be another of my "whacko" statements; so be it. This podcast departs from the usual format, as does Windows Ten from Windows XP, which I really "loved" (not "really"). NOT REALLY? Here's an example of "not really" for you to check out: In Ephesians 3:1 the word prisoner is used in the KJV Bible; but was Paul REALLY a prisoner as we commonly think of what a prisoner is using the AmeriCan (not AmeriKan) language? [Cf. Eph.3:7] Now go back and read Eph. 3:2-6. If you don't want to do the aforementioned - that's okay. After you listen to, or even before listening to, read Ephesians 3:9-21, paying particular attention to Eph.3:9, which is just one bible verse that has been taken out of the "big picture" with regards to the word "mystery" and the primary discussion of John 10:16 of our telephone conversation.

    in Prayer

Nine times in scripture we're told to sing a new song. One of those places it says, "O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things." (Psalm 98:1) Does that mean that we should try to compose music to the Lord, even if we can't carry a tune? What really is a "new" song?

Think back over your life with the Lord to all the wonderful things he has done. There was that moment in time when he rescued and saved you from sin; maybe you have experienced physical or emotional healing; maybe he has come through with financial miracles. But if some of those things happened quite awhile ago, they are old songs.

I'm not saying you should stop thanking God for all his blessings from the past but what new blessings do you have to praise him for? If you are stuck in old miracles, look around. I bet he is doing something new and maybe you haven't noticed. Sometimes we grow weary in life and fail to see God's fresh work in our life every single day.

The Lord tells us: "'Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things from the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it?'" (Isaiah 43:18) So the next time someone asks: "what's new with you?" don't just recite the same old, same old. Sing to the Lord a new song! Join us for live prayer, Mon.-Fri. Dial 714.459.3963.

This One Step - Older Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

    in Nutrition

Friday shows are dedicated to how we survivors are doing something each day just for ourselves.  Me, Me, Me day.

Polly grew up with six siblings in Mobile, Alabama, but was only 8 years old when her father died of lung cancer. Soon two neighborhood boys began to molest her, friends of her older twin brothers. A couple of years later she was assaulted by another neighbor and later by her older brother. She was able to break away from the abuse at the age of twelve, but was by then deep in the darkness of isolation. Polly is now a mother and grandmother, and has lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years and has become a devoted advocate for adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse.

She began her organization, This One Step, to help older survivors of Child Sexual Abuse deal with the trauma of being part of what she has named, "The Unknown Generation"  A generation of survivors who had nowhere to go for support.  In her late teens she began writing as a coping mechanism to deal with the PTSD.  Her three books, "Cider Blocks and Oven Racks", "Billy Wayne's Christmas Train" and "The Unknown Generation" will be available in early 2016.  She has written many southern short stories which have been published in different publications.  She is now hosting her own blogtalk radio show Monday through Friday beginning at 6:00am.

    in Poetry

Hosted By: QueensMind, Mowfpeace & Prettypaws

Wolfhours was conceived in the mind of Shontai Ralieck George a poet ,wordsmith, barz spitter master from Brooklyn New York. Though he now resides in the southern states he still has that gritty streetwise intelligence that makes him one of the most intriguing sought after figures within the poetic community.

The wolfhour concept basically presents a way for everyone to tell their story. Everyone no matter what background or lifestyle, profession or trade, religious or non-religious ..everybody has a story to tell. The guy on the corner begging for change to the lawyer in the courtroom pleading his/her case before a judge , they all have stories to tell. You might have been driving home from work when suddenly a car crosses three lanes just to get in an accident with  you. By via of said incident you now have something to get off your chest. Well let it off!!!! We call this a vent. Venting is what the wolfhours movement prescribes if you got some stored up energy that needs to be released in the form of words. Written, spoken, even singing there is no one way to vent.

This blog talk radio show will give wordmiths nationwide a platform to showcase their skills in front of a virtual audience. Spoken word is the new hip hop. The body of the old hip hop is dying so it is up to us as word smiths to preserve this art form by embracing this movement through spoken word. So whether you are a bar spitter ..ballad writer, erotica, political, conscious or what have you. Its time to represent this art to the fullest. As and added bonus we will be featuring some of the hottest spoken word artist in the poetic community, given our callers the opportunity to call in, get in que to spit or ask the featured guest a question. Even if you just want to call in  an enjoy the show either way the airwaves  will be set a flame.
