This Thriver show features Marie, a mother of 5 children, who endured a 7 years relationship with a narcissist.
We talk about how one of the biggest discoveries Marie made, is how co-dependent she was – and how she always had to fill her life with activities and people, and after escaping her relationship with the narcissist, how she couldn’t initially bear to be alone.
During our conversation Marie shares about how working on establishing her Identity has been key, and she shares her involvement with Co-Dep (Co-dependents Anonymous) and how fascinating her children are as “a mirror” to make her recovery not just about herself, but also about them.
You will also learn from this interview about Marie’s new partner, who is the father of her youngest two children, and how incredibly different the relationship is from her previous narcissistic one.

Hilarie Cash, PhD, the Founder of reSTART ,an five-year-old Internet Addiction Recovery Program in Fall City Washington joined Lon on October 7, 2014 to describe the need for internet and computer addictions and what her students need. She was especially proud of one of her graduates being interviewed for NBC's TODAY show, which increased phone calls of inquiry. Currently she works with young adult males, but this NBC program has encouraged her in plans to expand the program, or start new programs for adolescents and/or females, meeting what she sees as a growing need.

On tonight's show, Pastor Rafael Herrera will be talking about a new exciting new school he is teaching. This school will involve the teachings of the bible. I would also like to invite you to call us at 1-602-753-1699 and ask us questions, or share your thoughts. In addition, I look forward to talking about the real reason for the season. Pastor Rafael said "It is a school of ministry that offers a 12-month ministry program for those who feel called into the ministry. There is a phase 1 that goes into systematic theology and a phase 2 that goes into more advanced courses such as Bibliology & Hermeneutics, which is the study of biblical interpretation and Homiletics, which is the preparation and delivery of a sermon or teaching, and of course other things involved. My school is called The Word Walk School of Ministry, and it will be starting the latter part of January 2015."

Charles said "I was raised by my grandparents, until about the eighth grade. Then we moved to San Jose and my mom was involved with an alcoholic. I hated him at first, and he was abusive to us. I told myself that I would not ever be like that, but I was wrong. In my journey through life I came to love the man I hated. Nevertheless, I became involved with alcohol, drugs, and with whatever came through the doors. I tried to get away by joining the army. My cousin and I joined up on a buddy system, but I was arrested the day before we were going to leave. He left, I stayed and I went and got involved in the gang/party lifestyle. I didn't really know where my life was taking me. I felt like I was just living. I became involved intwo different relationships and while having children with both of them. The Spirit of the Lord intervened in the midst of my confusions and by calling his name, he came. My life was touched by the Spirit of God and it has never been the same."

The importance of PROMPTLY admitting when we're wrong as we continue our addiction recovery, this week on Recovery Now! Many of us lack personnal insight and don't focus on our own issues. This step helps us to do this and to learn the imortance of taking responsibility as a healthy part of our addiction treatment and our continued soberity.
The 12 steps help us to not just look at the past but to live in the present.

SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "Child Abuse, Trauma and 12-Step Recovery" - STEP 1 - SCAN host Bill Murray will be joined by special guest co-host Rivka Edery, MSW, LCSW, author of the book “Trauma and Transformation: A 12-Step Guide." Together they will lead tonight's discussion on STEP 1: "We admitted we were powerless over the abuse and trauma of our youth -- that our lives had become unmanageable." The survivor’s decision to begin a process of healing begins with the admission of what happened to them. This involves working through the defenses employed to shun from consciousness the excruciatingly painful memories of the traumatic events. Having passed through this phase of remembering (in any way possible), the acceptance of the truth of the traumatic experience moves the survivor towards resolution. Thus begins the creation of an internal, healing space for the survivor to feel what remained frozen in time, banished and unwelcome in consciousness. ~~ A child abuse survivor herself, Rivka Edery is grateful for the spiritual recovery she found in the 12 Steps of AA. She's been active in the 12 Step community for over 17 years. Bill Murray credits his 30 plus years of recovery to the spiritual power of the 12 Step program, too. He founded the recently launched Adult Survivors of Child Abuse Anonymous (ASCAA). ~~ Join us every two weeks to further examine a 12 Step approach to recovery from abuse. Next show we'll address STEP 2 ~~ See our web page: www.NAASCA.org/Trauma-12Step or write to Rivka Edery at: firstname.lastname@example.org

The NNIA network presents Recovery Radio Fresno wtih Louis Angel and Rosemary Ramos.
Rosemary will go into depth about how growing up being sexually affected her entire life. Rosemary stated "Hi my name Rosemary Ramos, Jesus is my Father who loves me. I have overcome struggles by blood of the lamb. I am believer in God. I'm an ambassador for Christ for his Glory. I grew in a home were my parent's worked all the time. I always stayed at my grandparents house they took care of me. At the age of 10 I was sexually molested by my step grandfather till I was 15. I told my parents and they reported it to authorities and to the school. I felt isolated lonely rejected and I looked for love in the wrong places. As I became a woman, I ran with the darkness and I became a daughter of the most wicked. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior with my grandma and I knew who God was. I hated him for all things that happened in my past. I was angry bitter jealous and hated people. I wanted to hurt them so I could feel good. In 2010 when my dad passed on I became more depressed and I just delivered my twins . I was on pain meds from my surgery I heard the darkness calling me to commit suicide because it was time for me give my up soul. A good friend of mine invited me to church. When I went to church they prayed for me and I don't remember anything but it was an deliverance. I received Christ in my heart and was reborn. I received total deliverance at my church through holy ghost revival. I Have been a God chaser and believer in Christ for 4 Years. I give God all the glory and honor for all he has done in my life. He put my feet on solid ground and I will not be shaken or moved . I am his he is mine Jesus lover of my soul. I thank God for my pastor's at Face to Face international ministry for being teachers and loving God's people. Amen."
