SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison, and Tracy Baxter, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. They'll present the topic "Mass 'Murder' by Family Court." Joining them will be advocates Anthony Brasher, Vincent Shiele and Vernon Beck to discuss the tragedies and failures of the Family Court System. The epidemic of systemically being abused by family courts has caused many injured individuals to take their own lives, or sometimes the lives of others. In fact, thousands are attempting (or succeeding) at taking their own lives in desperation every year. As a result of the system's failures, an incredible 79% of people involved in the Family Court System report experiencing some form of health injury, whether physical, mental and / or emotional. We will be discussing some of the horrific cases of suicides and murder-suicides that come out of our structurally violent family court system, and how, at so many levels, these tragedies could have been prevented. We will also hear from special guest Ashlee White Blandford, daughter of Darin White, from Prince George, British Columbia. His suicide in March of 2000 was a huge eye-opener to many, highlighting the brutalizing effects of our Family Court System. ~~ Every two weeks a new THEME will be presented in this series, with frequent special guests speaking from their own experience. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/ForOurKids or write to: firstname.lastname@example.org

NFL, Clubs, and Players Union – Be careful what you ask for?
Is the NFL really serious about violence against women or is their agenda self-serving? Is the goal of the NFL to maintain endorsements and sponsorship or embrace and develop programs and services that promote self-awareness for abusers and victims of domestic violence? Why has the NFL been vocal about domestic violence and protecting alleged victims who can make decisions for themselves, but silent concerning child abuse, sex trafficking and juvenile prostitution, which plague the League, its clubs and players?
This episode will examine how the NFL has handled the recent allegations of domestic violence and child abuse. We will discuss whether the role of the NFL and its players union should include disciplinary actions against players for acts committed in their personal lives. We will also examine whether disciplinary action has been or is fair and impartial and what role does race play, if at all, in addressing off the field acts committed by players. Finally, this episode will examine whether the NFL has been inclusive or exclusive in handling issues like drugs, domestic violence, and race and off the field acts committed by its players.
