I think we would all agree that divorce is one of the most excruciating things anyone can go through.
Psychologists Thomas Holmes and Richard Rahe in 1967 created a list of the top 43 most stressful life events. Divorce rated the second most stressful, only capped by death of a spouse.
That describes a normal divorce.
But what about divorcing a narcissist?
THAT takes the stress to a whole new level.
In this 2 part series I will be covering many aspects of divorcing a narcissist including how to emotionally prepare and accept that the marriage is over, how to get out safetly and then the next steps you need to take to recover from this experience and grow from it.

Producer/Writer/Director Eric Casaccio says the root of of what became the multi-award winning film Narcissist is a short-lived romantic connection between two men which ended painfully. Gay Celluoid writes, "Casaccio and to his credit has gone out of his way to shine the spotlight on one man's journey to deal with the emotional fallout following his painful relationship with a man with narcissistic personality disorder."
Narcissist is the story of a kind soul (Evan) who attracts a dark knight (Rob) into his life. It's almost as it's meant to be until Rob goes from a charming man to a manipulative individual who suddenly pulls the carpet out from under Evan, smashing his heart into a million pieces. Evan's post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) ends up taking him to a place of truth while Rob spirals into his own midlife crisis.
How much of this riveting film is true to life? Nicholas Snow finds out in this episode of Nicholas Snow Live.

Lisa E. Scott, author of "It's All About Him" will continue her discussion with book/messageboard readers on how to recognize a narcissist before you get hurt and offer coping strategies to those already involved in a relationship with a narcissist. In this week's episode, Lisa and Elena will discuss what it is like to date a narcissist and point out red flags you can look for to avoid getting in too deep with a narcissist.
What are the real reasons why a narcissist punishes us? Why are we tapped in abuse with a person like this, and why we can’t seem to let go, move on or heal beyond our suffering.
What are the REAL reasons why we still feel like we love this person? Why do we hang in there making all the justification and excuses whilst paying a terrible price trying to make the relationship work regardless of their horrendous abuse?
You will find out exactly why in this radio show.
