With so much money on the line, gamblers tend to scrutinize the Super Bowl more than any other sporting event, wary of the possibility that the NFL, Vegas oddsmakers, or some other party might rig the outcome of the game to suit their own interests. Conspiracy theories began shortly after the game's creation--to this day, some fans and former players suggest that Joe Namath’s infamous Super Bowl III guarantee and the Jets’ subsequent victory over the heavily-favored Colts was rigged in order to drum up publicity ahead of the AFL-NFL merger.
Enter “The Green Zone” with your host Julian Carter who is joined by special guest Super Bowl III MVP former New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath.
Julian along with co-host Dennis Agapito (Jetnation.com) discusses Namath’s playing days at the University of Alabama, to his Super Bowl victory with the Jets, what the future holds for Mark Sanchez and his opinion on the Darrelle Revis trade.
Also Jets beat reporter Kristian Dyer of Metro New York will be giving his insight into the latest Jets news.
Oklahoma came back to beat LSU in the final seconds, but who won the idividual matchup between Ben Simmons and Buddy Hield? It's not as black and white as you may think. Apparently Cam Newton is a "polarizing figure." There's been many a QB before Cam to be "polarizing", namely Namath, so what really is it that has Cam getting under people's skin? Is it really because he's black? He seems to think so. Dennis Wideman took out an official, and is suspended indefinitely. Does the punishment fit the crime, or can we justify his cross-check? Blake Griffen breaks his hand on his equipment manager's face. Aside from being a dick, what should his punishment be? Also, being that the Clippers seem to be doing fine without him, should he be traded, and what could you get for him? I love John Clayton, his pony-tail, and his Slayer t-shirts, but he ranked the Bills/Giants Super Bowl (Norwood miss) #1. Sorry, John, but there's many, MANY Super Bowls that are better. We'll list them. ESPN already has Steph Curry as the #4 ranked Point Guard in the HISTORY of the NBA. Seriously. I know the kid is lights out, but are you F**king kidding me? And LeBron's future in Cleveland, now that he fired David Blatt. All that and more on the next "Shirts v. Skins."

Ryan Fitzpatrick of the New York Jets hurt his thumb early yesterday and stood the rest of the game with his thumb taped up watching Geno Smith implode , mentally, physically, metaphysically as well. C'mon Ryan...Really ?

Okay, maybe COUPA’s Jason Hekl wasn’t sitting poolside besieged by a cacophony of reporters clamoring for a big story.
Maybe Jason wasn’t getting ready to go before a packed Orange Bowl crowd and millions of television viewers.
However, and with the same moxie and a track record of successes a mile long, Hekl delivered a Joe Namath-type guarantee that should put the staid old ERP fuddy duddies on notice that the game in terms of eProcurement has changed.
In this all too brief PI Soundbite interview, COUPA’s VP of Marketing took time out of a busy schedule to respond to my questions regarding the guaranteed savings being offered to new clients by the company.

The New York Jets ran the ball well on Monday night, but still managed to come up short and lost to the Miami Dolphins. Quarterback Geno Smith threw the ball 13 times total and ended the game with a costly interception. A 2-10 Jets team tries to find some answers as we all sit and wonder what the future holds for everyone in the organization. As the Jets head into the last few weeks of the season, changes are certainly headed this way.
On Monday night the Jets did honor Wayne Chrebet and several ex-Jets were present for the Ring of Honor ceremony.
Tune in tonight as JetNation Radio brings you all things New York Jets!
