#185: Crystal Rosenthal, Head Coach, Concordia Irvine, visits TCRS. The Eagles finished the regular season ranked 3rd in the nation and 1st overall in the GSAC at (20-4) and are set to host the conference tournament and looking to defend their 2014 GSAC Conference Tournement Title starting tomorrow and running through May 2. 2015 is Coach Rosenthal's seventh season at the helm for the Eagles and the team has had a winning record each of her first seasons with at least 50 wins in each of the last three. Dr. Mike Robinson, host of Parent Talk Live discussed the challenges, risk and benefits for the student athlete that decides to become a college walk-on with with Rick Allen, Founder and CEO Informed Athlete (IA).
Rick Allen was one of the first full time NCAA compliance directors in the country. He worked on-campus at two major Division I universities for over 25 years before transitioning to consulting with athletic departments around the country. Because of his many years of hands-on experience working with and interpreting the NCAA rules, he has a thorough understanding of how they work, how they are implemented, and how they overlap. He explains the rules in a way that helps parents and athletes thoroughly understand what the rules mean and how they apply to their unique situation.

25+ years experience working directly with NCAA compliance rules and procedures at two major DI Universities.

After leading the nation with 194 tackles and adding 39.5 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles, Johnson earned an invite to the NAIA Senior Bowl. He also participated in the NFL Regional Combine in Chicago and competed at the Eastern Michigan pro day workout in hopes of catching pro scouts attention. Tanya Olson competed in softball, basketball and golf. Although she competed nationally in softball at the age of 10, it was golf that ultimately became her passion. After winning 4 regional state titles and a state championship, she became Miss Kentucky Golf and earned a 4 year full scholarship to the University of South Florida. After graduating, Tanya remained in the golf world. She landed in the Chicago suburbs as Marketing Director at Naperville Country Club for the next 8 years. She has also coached at the collegiate level. Tanya is a two time participant of the Women's USGA Amateur, as well as a 4 time participant in the Women's USGA Mid Amateur. Due to her continued participation in national events, she is still very much in tune with the dedication and determination required to be a successful athlete. Tanya serves as the Golf Recruiting Specialist for National Scouting Report.
Trey Miller is no stranger to the golf world! After serving in the Marine Corp, Trey was a touring golf professional. He participated in the Golden Bear Tour, Hooter's Tour, Tight Lies Tour, Lone Star Tour, and the King Stahlman Tour. He was a Tournament Champion during this time. Trey also served as a Club Pro in Texas and in Arkansas. He currently continues to serve as the Head Golf Professional in Heber Springs, Arkansas while serving as one of the Golf Recruiting Specialists for National Scouting Report.

Former Kansas State linebacker, Percell Gaskins, joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Blitz.
Gaskins was a NAIA Champion high jumper out of Nortwestern Oklahoma State in 1992 and transferred to Kansas State in 1993. He had an outstanding career in Manhattan,KS for the Wildcats in help leading the team an overall 28-7-1 record from 1993-1995 with three Top 25 final rankings.
Gaskins was an intense player that coulld move sideline to sidleine to make plays. He played with great emotion and was a very athletic linebacker for the Wildcats that made big plays in the biggest games. Gaskins became a 4th round draft pick in the 1996 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams and head coach Rich Brooks. Gaskins played in 15 games making 36 total tackles and played in 1997 for the Carolina Panthers.
Today, Gaskins is the head football coach at Garinger high school in North Carolina. He is a postive role model by mentoring yoounger athletes in helping them acheive their goals on and off the field. Garnger has had only 5 winning seasons in the last 40 years, however, Gaskins is helping turn around the mindset of the program utilizing the principles that his former head coach Bill Synder taught him at Kansas State.
