This month we're taking a look at the body/mind/spirit connection and asking, how can we keep this bond from separating or dissolving? What can we do to sustain a mindful, deeper awareness throughout our day? And collectively, can we help others do the same?
My special guest is Keenan Lewis, a Los Angeles based certified personal trainer, professional MMA fighter, spiritual warrior, adventurer and life coach. He uses a self-developed body, mind, and spirit approach to help his clients achieve optimal physical results and success in various aspects of life. Only 23 years old, Keenan has already traveled to many countries where he is known as a motivator and teacher of young athletes, building confidence and self-esteem along with skill and technique. Keenan upholds the tradition of the non-aggressive spiritual warrior and teaches young athletes how to do the same. Contact Keenan through Facebook.
We're going to be talking with Keenan about the rites and passages associated with being a spiritual warrior and why young men and women are embracing these traditions again. Peaceful social change and a move away from generic jobs and futures is a priority for our youth, and the non-aggressive path of the spiritual warrior seems to be a key.
Our Stir Things Up segment includes a look at bold new trends for 2014, including a host of new terms to describe them - guiltwashing, crowd-shaping, and mychiatry just to name a few - I'm saving the best for last, so remember to tune-in.
