BOB DARBY, ADVOCATE FOR THE HOMELESS MENTALLY ILL - Thursdays, 3pmEST ~ Darby has been an advocate for the homeless mentally ill for more than twenty years. He has a B.A. in psychology from Emory University. Please call to speak on air at (347) 857-3293 for all broadcasts. Darby studied in psychology and theology in graduate school. He is a former employee of Georgia Regional Hospital, Boston State Hospital, and New Hampshire's Hanover-Darthmouth Hospital. In 1994, he co-founded Atlanta Food Not Bombs. Darby explains that people with serious mental illness are deliberately rendered homeless in the United States of America and deprived of psychiatric and medical health care services. This is unacceptable. Voters should petition elected officials to improve treatment and subsistence opportunities for mentally ill people and those with substance abuse issues. CryptoLogic Radio – Episode 44 – Back by Popular Demand: Bob and Kathy Strain
Last week we had such a great reception for Bob and Kathy that we decided to invite them back. There were a lot of calls-ins and listeners that didn't get the opportunity to ask their questions so this one’s for you. Please call-in or send you questions over chat tonight, you’ll be first priority. --Tonight our guests will be the husband and wife research team of Bob and Kathy Strain. Bob is a retired firefighter/paramedic who has been researching Bigfoot since 1975 when he had an encounter himself near Challis, Idaho. He is also an avid outdoorsman with many years’ experience hunting, fishing, and hiking. And he hosted his own podcast named Let’s Talk Bigfoot. Kathy is the Heritage Resource and Tribal Relations Programs Manager for the Stanislaus National Forest in Sonora, CA. She holds a M.A. in Anthropology and conducts research on native cultures including their traditional beliefs about Bigfoot. She’s an author as well and covers this subject matter in her book Giants, Cannibals, & Monsters: Bigfoot in Native Culture. They work together with the other members of NAWAC (North American Wood Ape Conservancy) to represent some of the best scientific methodology and evidence collection the world of Bigfooting has to offer.
In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will take a break from the NCAA Tournament, and talk about a few other topics, in sports. The NBA playoffs are right around the corner, so it is time to start talking about the league MVP. Who is your favorite to win the MVP? There are a number of players that can be mentioned, but there are few that have stood head and shoulders, above everyone else.
The NFL owners meeting, is underway. A nice improvement will be that no market will be blacked out next year. This means that even if the home team, does not sell out, fans can watch their local team. Some crazy news, the Pro Bowl might be played, in Brazil. What are thoughts about this?
In Green Bay Packer news, the charges against Letroy Guion have been dismissed. The case is closed and he will not have a criminal record. People always say, give the person their day, in court. Guion had his day, and was not found guilty. The question now is, should the Packers re-sign Guion? Listen in or call the show, with your thoughts.
Confederate Soldiers Can Be "Black Like Me." Call (347)857-3293 to speak, or listen by Internet. The tapes will be available 24/7 at Blogtalkradio after the live show. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. told us that we should judge people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, and he was not talking only to white people. Assuming that everyone who is black is a friend to African Americans is ridiculous. Whipping boys were not white, and not all of them were coerced. Some blacks did and still do enjoy damaging or even killing African Americans for elite white supremacists, especially if they profit financially by doing so. Therefore, we must recognize that one's skin color is not a uniform. Nobody can determine on which side of the "War against Black America" a soldier is fighting merely by observing his complexion. If not for Black Confederates, African Americans would fare significantly better in the 21st century than we do.

I have lived in Tampa, Fl for over 22 years and I am an avid sports fan. I do my research and get all the facts before I give my opinion. My passion is for all sports but the most important one to me is by far football. I have worked for the Tampa Tribune for 3 years, radio broadcasting, and even covered the Arena Football League. I have covered every sport from volleyball to the UFC and I look forward to bringing my years of sports experience to my new radio show. Like the great Herm Edwards said “ You play to win the game, Hello? You play to win the game. You don't play it to just play it. That's the great thing about sports: you play to win, and I don't care if you don't have any wins. You go play to win. When you start telling' me it doesn't matter, then retire. Get out! 'Cause it matters."
