    About our guest: Dr. Ruby Thomas received her medical degree and completed her medical training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. She is board certified in Pediatrics and has specialized training in Preventive Medicine. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Preventive Medicine, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Prior to joining MBS Wellness, she practiced urgent care in the metro Atlanta area and held a faculty appointment at Morehouse School of Medicine department of Pediatrics. Dr. Thomas continues to hold a part-time faculty position with the Department of Preventive Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine. Her clinical and educational interests include integrative medicine, motivational interviewing, healing with nutrition, and preventing childhood obesity.  Dr. Thomas is a native of Atlanta. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, reading and painting.

    About our guest: Susan's love for the Arts was nurtured by her Mother from an early age.  Dancing in her patent leather shoes for her Grandmother after church on Sunday, spending Saturdays reading in the Library, singing in the Chicago All City HS chorus, writing short stories, poems and dancing around the Living Room to music ranging from the classics to jazz, blues & gospel.


    As an adult she became a Registered Nurse but she never lost her love for the Arts. She has published 3 books of poetry.  Then her first book in 2010 called The Little Liverpool Diaries and the soon to be released children's book, The Lion & the Porcupine. Susan is a talented song writer, having written 15 songs for The Little Liverpool Diaries and 7 songs for The Lion & the Porcupine. Her dream is to see both these works on the Broadway stage!
