This week we welcome Vicky Hamilton as our latest celebrity guest. Who is Vicky Hamilton you ask? Well my Friend, she is only the most important person in the life of one of the last great rock bands (Metallica being the other) to come along in the 80's. She was a mover and a shaker in the metal world helping bands like Motley Crue, Poison, Faster cat, & Salty Dog make their way into the main stream (ok I am pushing it with the Salty Dog Reference). But none the less, if you were trying to make it in the "Hair Metal" world in the 80's and 90's then Vicky Hamilton was someone you needed to impress. Her soon to be released book "Appetite for Dysfunction" is to be released shortly and we will talk to her about this amazing time in the era of our favorite music.
The Rangers begin their pursuit of Lord Stanleys cup this week with thier series against the Penguin, and I will have a breakdown of this series and my predictions on all of the 1st round matchups for the NHL playoffs.
The Yankees and Mets have started ther seasons in less than spectacular fashion, and we will certainly breakdown the early results and can talk about some of the surprises from the firstt 2 weeks of the MLB season.
I also posted a list, given to me, showing some of the gteatest baseball hitters of all time. We can break down this list and I will be happy to discuss who ISNT on this list and question how and why someone is on the list.
Dee Snyder is pissed at A.J. Pero, Slayer to release their next album, Frank Hannon (Tesla) gave his opinion on the VanHalen Live album and I will give you my take as well on these and some other topics in the world of hard rock and metal.
Log onto BLOGTALKRADIO.COM to tune in to hear me and my special guest chat about her history making time with one of hard rocks biggest bands. And please feel free to call in as always

last week's Federal Communications Commission 3-2 vote to regulate (translation: control) the Internet as a public utility through its "Net Neutrality" rules will impact streaming content provider Netflix. Exactly how and to what extent is not yet known. But the prognosis isn't positive: "Shares of Netflix stumbled on Friday, while shares of cable companies — which stand to be the biggest losers of the Federal Communications Commission’s proposed new rules — ticked higher." "Liz Peek was one of the first women on Wall Street to earn that most hallowed of titles --Partner. After graduating with an Honors Degree in Economics and as a Durant Scholar from Wellesley College, she joined a research boutique on Wall Street where she developed an improbable expertise in backhoes, mining equipment, oilfield wireline services and drilling fluids. She became a CFA and in 1975 she moved to Wertheim & Company, a leading equities house which subsequently was bought by Schroder, Inc. and then by Citigroup. During almost two decades with the firm, Liz became a top-ranked analyst covering oilfield services companies, co-head of investment research and head of the firm’s international research department. As a partner she was seconded to Schroder to assist that company’s entry into the equities business at the time of London’s “Big Bang”, and then assigned to build Wertheim’s equities business in Tokyo.
Liz was the first woman to head the National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts, a national organization of several hundred energy investors, and was a frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Oil and Gas Journal, Wall Street Transcript and other industry periodicals. She was a guest on Wall Street Week and other financial programs.
In recent years Liz has been a columnist with The Fiscal Times and FoxNews.com. Deflate Gate! Can we stop with this already? It's just days away from the next national holiday (unofficially), the Superbowl. The matchup between the Patriots and the Seahawks should be a great game, yet all I hear on local radio and the papers is DEFLATE GATE!!!. Listen I understand that people are fascinated with the Patriots and what they perceive is their thumbing of thier nose at the NFL and it's rules, but I think this has been all talked out and I hope we can spend some time breaking downs the ingame match ups and what I think will be the strategy each team will use to win this game. I hope to get you guys to call in and discuss your thoughts on the big game.
Their is lots to talk about in music news, Michael Sweet and George Lynch just released a cd and I will give my review, Who is playing drums for AC/DC on their um coming tour?, Motley Crue announced where and when their final show will be played and I saw the video from their late night television apperance so we can discuss all of that and much much more.
Please Tune in this Thursday Night @ 6:30 p.m. est to blogtalkradio.com and search "tom florio's Hard rockn sports" to hear this and more. and as always I would love to hear from you as well.
