When we think about investors, we usually think about a room full of guys with money to throw around. We think about the hard ass pitch sessions in which some men (usually from Silicon Valley or Silison Alley) telling you why you're not ready for investment and frowning because you've wasted their time. But the landscape is changing. Yes the pitch meetings are still intense, but more women are entering the picture.
Today, my guest and I discuss what it takes to become an investor, the kind of details they look for, and how the landscape is changing to include women. We'll talk about what you, as an investor should be looking for and introduce Pipeline Fellowship, founded my Natalia Oberti Noguera. It is powerful when one realizes that God's Kingdom is not limited to what goes on inside of church buildings. It's even more instructive when one realises that His Kingdom is not a slate of political agends or a christian code of conduct or even eating and drinking. The Apostle Paul gave us a clear picture of what the Kingdom of God is. He said that it is "righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" Romans 14:17. Jesus Christ is patiently but passionately winning the war against evil. Our mandate is to pray and labor with Him. Join us for live prayer at 6:00 Am Mon. - Fri. Dial 714 459-3963.
John Smart began working on feature film in the Art department while still in college at the University of New Mexico where he received a BFA in theater. After a number of years working on such films as The Big Easy, Heathers, and Barfly - he decided to teach in Los Angeles and at school for teens who’d gotten in trouble with drugs. He became known for bringing film industry professionals to the school as guest speakers and mentors. Establishing a relationship between the school and the local film and TV industry that lasted long after he was gone. When John returned to working on films he dove into legal clearances. He’s worked on a long list of projects including: The Good Lie, Don Jon, 2 Guns, Shopgirl, The Hot Flashes, Linsanity, Looper, Bullet To The Head and approximately 60 other films, TV shows and DVD games. He loves clearances because he can both assist in legally getting a production difficult items they may want or need for a project - but more importantly a Clearance administrator is one of the last firewalls a production has avoid legal action - and a copyright infringement claim can be lethal for a film. #101 - THE MINES OF MANDOR - Part 2 of 4
Written by Jonithan Patrick Russell & Jackson Rees
Rated U - for Universal Audiences!
On the asteroid mining station Z-11, in the Mandor Planetary System, the arrival of a mysterious traveler known only as the Doctor coincides with the death of one of the miners, as well as the arrival of two dangerous mercenaries. Are these events related? Z-11's Foreman Mixton seems to think so. And, what do the mineral Z-1138 and the galaxy's plague, Yonex Disease, have in common? It’s left to the Doctor to ponder just what possible interest all this could be to the Rutan Empire.
