Discussions on relationships/bonds with mothers and grandmothers. When does the bond beween mothers and children start? Examining the strength of the bonds: "today" vs. "yesterday." Discuss how to make the bond last a lifetime. Do young female adults still value and/or feel they need their mothers as much as they did when they were kids? Or do they feel they can conquer the world without them?
Sometimes our littlest heart heroes need extraordinary help in order to survive. One of the most extraordinary machines used to save our babies born with congenital heart defects is known as ECMO which stands for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. This is a special machine that takes blood from the body, oxygenates it using an artificial lung, and pumps it back into the body using an artificial heart. ECMO is similar to a heart/lung bypass machine used in open heart surgery, but can be used for a longer time.
Twenty years ago, when my son was just a baby, all of the babies I knew who were put on ECMO passed away. But like with so many types of new technology, things have changes and improved over the year. Now being put on ECMO doesn't have to be a death sentence. Today's show will feature three mothers whose children have been put on ECMO and survived. Hear about their experiences and what they feel other parents need to know on today's show.

We would love to hear from you, you, and you. Tell your family and friends to join us. God loves you and so do we.
Certain Mothers, if you want to call them that have sons but encourage them to act in a manner of a female thus creating Gender Confusion. Now we have a whole generation of young men confused acting like little girls. This is also a form of population control and eugenics.
Helping Overcome Obstacles Peru ( HOOP) is an internationally run NGO operating in Arequipa Peru, specifically in the Flora Tristan community, a small shanty town on the outskirts of the city where families , young mothers and children live in squalor, homes composed of haphazardly constructed shacks with a lack of basic services, such as electricity or running water.
It takes a Village to put together an NGO like HOOP. If you have ever wondered how you might do something similiar or become a volunteer for an organization such as this, then this show is for you. You will meet one of the principle architects and one of the 5 founders for HOOP, Dr. Shang Ju Li - from Taiwan, Alison Schmierer, HOOP's Program Director- Peru, John Vecchio, a volunteer teacher from New York state, Christian Collazos, a Volunteer Teacher from Peru and former student of HOOP, and Amina Belaïdi , Program Coordinator Intern for HOOP who lives in France.
Hoop’s goal is to make sure these parents receive their high school education so that their children will also receive a secondary school education. This is their way of ensuring that the cycle of poverty can be broken in the next generation.
The power of HOOPS Educational projects and priorities allows for everyone in the community to improve their lives.
Teaching our children how to pray is a part o a vital foundation that will prove to be something they will be thankful or.
Prayer must be taught to our children with a purpose. Join us as we study the prayers of Paul, Jesus and others in the bible and learn to use their words as a model for your own prayers. We will personalize them for ourselves and for others and pray them for amazing results. We will also look at the prayers of King David in the book of Psalms. Andrew Murray says " True prayer, that takes hold of God's strength, that availeth much, to which the gates of heaven are really opened wide-who would not cry, 'Oh, for someone to teach me thus to pray'?" He concludes, "Jesus has opened a school, in which He trains His redeemed ones, who specially desire it, to have power in prayer." Prepare to take your prayer life to the next level as we pray the word of God. Your prayer life will be transformed. Tell a friend and join us for the discussion on prayer.

Who is the ultimate authority in a child's life - the parents or the State? When Dorothy Austin, mother of two sons, was falsely accused of having a psychological illness, she found herself in a seven year battle with the State of Illinois over custody of her son Shamir, then an eight year old child. Deprived of his mother after seven years, Shamir, now a 15 year old teenager, is desperate to come home. But the State simply will not let him go. Today, Dorothy Austin is fighting back. She has joined forces with supporters and other parents and launched a national organization: PROTECT, which stands for Parental Rights Organization To End Children's Tears. This organization was founded to raise money for legal fees for parents whose parental rights were wrongfully terminated, and to investigate and expose those attorneys, judges, and social service agency officials who knowingly make decisions that destructively tear families apart. Today, Ms. Austin discusses her fundraising efforts to enable her to hire the competent attorney who will help get her son Shamir back, and pursue punitive damages against those responsible for him being held hostage by the State for seven years. Her organization PROTECT will provide support for other parents in similar situations. Jerry Nicholas, father of six, shares his story of a 20 year battle for his parental rights. He exposes the economic incentive that makes State agencies become destroyers of children and families.

Join us as we talk with Margo Lindauer, author of "Damned if you do, damned if you don't: Why multi-court-involved battered mothers just can't win." As Lindauer states in her book, "Being a good mother is difficult. Being a good mother and a victim 1 of domestic violence 2 is even harder. The different and often competing expectations placed on battered mothers in the juvenile (child welfare), 3 civil/trial, 4 criminal, and family 5 court systems present a profound and befuddling problem. In this Article, I intend to identify the difficulty and uniqueness of being both a mother 6 and a victim of domestic violence, investigate the tension and conflict among different judicial systems, and proffer some suggestions for reform."
Can you be trusted?
Ideally, the answer would be 'Yes,' but, in all honesty, you've probably failed to maintain your integrity a time or two. Integrity literally means to be "whole and undivided." So what happens when you allow yourself to lose focus of your purpose, your intent, or your identity? Wires get crossed, confusion sets in, and you find yourself in a place you never intended to be. This is the tale of many a failed dream, failed relationship and even a failed life. But the good news is that integrity CAN be restored - IF you're willing to do the work.
We invite you to tune in today as we chat with Traci Smith of Traci Smith Ministries, author of the new book, Beautifully Broken. Hear what she has learned about restoring integrity after she, a pastor's wife, committed adultery and was banished from her home, her husband, her children, and her church. This promises to be an episode you won't soon forget!

How do you live an empowered, conscious, life? Most of us aren’t taught how to live intentionally and learn from life’s experiences. Today, on Living Life Powerfully, we will explore how you can know yourself and also relate to the world through more than the subjective perspective of the persona or personality.
Most of us are consciously aware of only a small portion of what is available to us because the ego or personality is a limited way of seeing the self. Awakening to an awareness of the personality and its drivers can provide a window into what is beyond the ego. Maslow suggests it is healthy for people to “dip into the unconscious and preconscious, to use and value their primary processes instead of fearing them, to accept their impulses instead of always controlling them.” During today's show, we're going to explore how you might be identifying with aspects of self by looking at your "Little Self" (e.g., roles, responsibilities, internal/external focus) and your Core Self (e.g., Who would you be without your roles as mothers, daughters, wives?).
