On tonight's show we will reflect on our surprise call last week from Damon Grow. We will be discussing our thoughts on what was mentioned on the call and our overall thoughts on Joe Montana 16. Does it sound more like a console game now? Will it be a pure simulation game? When will it drop? We will also discuss the recent patches released for NBA Live 15 and NBA 2K15. Last but not least, we will discuss our thoughts on complaints about Tom Brady and other players cursing during games and if they should watch what they say because the cameras are on. In the 2nd hour the phone lines will be open for questions and comments. We look forward to your calls!

    Operation: Next Chapter

    in Military

Operation: Next Chapter is “working with Soldier’s Angeles Project: Valour-IT to provided 100 voice-controlled, adaptive lap-top computers for military personnel who have lost the use of their hands.  Vietnam Veteran and author Cym Lowell will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of his latest novel, Jasper’s War, to purchase these individually adapted computers which cost $500 a piece.  The laptops allow warriors who are healing from amputations, paralysis, eye injuries, burns and brain trauma to stay in touch with their family and their units during their recovery period.”

Cym Lowell "was born in Montana to academics and spent his youth traveling the world. To put it politely, he was an undistinguished student, rewarded with assignment to the U.S. Navy at 18. After two years in Vietnam, college and law school were a challenge. Being a veteran in the political turbulence of the late 1960s and early 1970s taught humility. Raising three children in the Midwest and Texas brought love and responsibility. An international tax practice in the financial crises of the past 40 years provided insight into motivations of actors on the global stage. Friends, clients, adversaries, and colleagues, like victory and defeat, added color and context. The result is a writer with a treasure trove of experience to frame compelling characters enmeshed in heart-thumping challenges." Cym Lowell is the author of The Gift, Riddle of Berlin and Jaspar's War.

Just a short intro to which I'll add that he is proficient in community preparedness and security operations.

    1)  Why Prepare ?

    2)  Psychology of Preparedness and Security

    4)  Community and Groups…everyone contributes

    5)  Skill sets required for:
Medical, Security and possible Resistance, Intelligence/Communications     Information, Food, Water and Irrigation, Waste Disposal, Children and the Infirm, Housing/Shelters, Long Term needs (foods, planting/harvest), Education, Psychological, Logistical, Mobilization, and rebuilding after-the-fact. Socio-political issues.

    Todd Wilkinson on Ted Turner

    in Environment

In writing his new book "Last Stand: Ted Turner's Quest to Save a Troubled Planet," environmental journalist Todd Wilkinson ventured deeper into the inner space of Ted Turner than any other before him. That inner space reveals a Turner who has largely been unknown to most people.  Last Stand has won national critical acclaim and has been widely adopted as an essential reading for conservation organizations, universities, government policy makers, businesses, and book clubs across the country. But as many say, "Last Stand" actually reads like an adventure story.

Todd, who started his career nearly 30 years ago as a violent crime reporter in Chicago, first met Ted in 1992 in Montana where Turner has his flagship ranch, the Flying D, and where Todd lives today.  For the book Todd interviewed a number of noteworthy individuals including four Nobel Peace Prize laureates, Jane Fonda, Sen. Sam Nunn and many other major figures. Todd has been on a national tour promoting Last Stand and he joins us today from the wild American West.
