It's been a long time since the Republican race for President has been this crowded with qualified candidates. Unlike the last round (when the candidates were Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann and, uh, who was that third guy?), there are at least three solid contenders for the GOP nomination this year — and a slew of other maybes running as well. In fact, there are so many candidates, it can get a little hard to keep track. To help make sense of them all, we talked to Kyle Kondik of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, who ranked the candidates based on their chances. From the heavy hitters to the oddballs, here's who's most likely to be on the ballot against Hillary (and yes, it will be Hillary) come November.
Hypocrisy on the Democrat side:
How can President Obama and other Democrats say they are Christians, followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and advocate for the act of homosexuality and lesbianism? Then turn and point fingers at republicans for being insensitive to the poor and needy.
Hypocrisy on the Republican side:
Why did Billy Graham scrubb the Mormon religion off his web site as a cult religion, so that he could endorse Mitt Romney for President? Why did Cardinal Dolan take the lead in criticizing Obamacare for forcing the Church to pay for abortions and contraceptives, when he was paying insurance for these services up to ten years before Obamacare?
How Republicans Captured Congress but Surrendered the White House. Once the party of presidents, the GOP in recent elections has failed to pull together convincing national majorities. Republicans have lost four of the last six presidential races and lost the popular vote in five of the last six. In their lone victory, the party incumbent won—during wartime—by the slimmest of margins. In this fascinating and important book, Thomas Schaller examines national Republican politics since President Ronald Reagan left office in 1989. From Newt Gingrich’s ascent to Speaker of the House through the defeat of Mitt Romney in 2012, Schaller traces the Republican Party’s institutional transformation and its broad consequences, not only for Republicans but also for America. Here is Schaller’s message: as the GOP became more conservative, it became more Congress-centered, and as its congressional wing grew more powerful, the party grew more conservative. His belief is that this “dangerous loop”, unless broken, may signal a future of increasing radicalization, dependency on a shrinking pool of voters, and less viability as a true national party. It’s a thought-provoking idea that we invite our Coffee Party USA members to consider by reading the book and joining us for a discussion with the author. A link for purchasing the book can be found on our Coffee Party USA website.
On Monday, March 30 at 8:30pm EST, you will have your chance to ask Professor Schaller about his take on the direction of the Republican Party and what it means for all of us as we host him on our special monthly BlogTalk Radio program event. Mark you calendar now!
According to the US Census, "In 2012, the overall voting rate was 61.8%." "Overall, in the last five Presidential elections, the non-Hispanic White share of total votes cast dropped by about 9 percentage points. In comparison, between 1996 and 2012, the Hispanic share of total votes cast increased by about 4%, while the Black share increased by about 3%."
The Washington Post writes, "And while Obama did loose White voters by 20 points to former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney (the widest losing margin for a Democratic presidential candidate since 1984) he still won a clear popular vote victory - with a majority of his total vote nationwide coming from White voters." How about that folks. The majority of people who voted for President Obama were White! Let's go!

Koch Brothers I assume said "Mitt don't run, we won't support you, as a matter fact we're putting up a billion dollars and we will work against you.
Mike W Wrote; "If you don't think he got a handsome payoff for doing this, think again...the announcement of his candidacy was right on the heels of Bush and now he's dropping out, what? a week later? Some money had to have changed hands here."
David A. C; "Romney slaps Bush: "I believe that one of our next generation of Republican leaders, one who may not be as well-known as I am today, one who has not yet taken their message across the country, one who is just getting started, may well emerge as being better able to defeat the Democrat nominee," the 67-year-old Romney said. "In fact, I expect and hope that to be the case."
Never before in American history has one family, The "Koch Brothers" have pledged to spend $1 Billion to shape the Republican Party nominee! Think about that? Did the Koch Brothers just buy the Republican party? I believe they bought many of the US Senators in the last election. This family is buying our government!
