Some say, "what you don't know, can't hurt you." Do you know your rights? What should you do if you are ever stopped or approached by a law enforcement officer? Racial tension is growing in America largely because of the media coverage of black males being killed by white police officers. However, there is more to the story than us outsiders actually know...until now!
Join host Tammy Gaitor and co-host Rodney Jordan as the Butterfly Evolution show welcomes Retired Police Chief Robert Moore for a "not to be missed" episode Monday, February 8, 2016. From the cotton fields of Mississippi to a presidential appointment by former United States president, Bill Clinton, Chief Moore served as the U.S. Marshal for the central district of Illinois. After a successful tenure, he returned to Jackson, Mississippi as the Chief of Police. Little did he know, he would have to fire an officer his first day on the job. "We know that there are bad cops patrolling your neighborhoods. We want them off of your streets just as bad as you do but you all are not helping us," he recently told a crowd of anxious young people at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Chief Robert Moore is the author of the new history book, "The President's Men: Black United States Marshals in America. He is also well known for his numerous published articles in police magazines covering a wide range of topics including, Strategies for Increasing Black Executives, Racial Profiling, History of the Minority Police Officers in Illinois State Police, Solving the crisis of Black Youth in America.
Set your reminders now, you do not want to miss this show!

Beyonce's Super Bowl Halftime performance was criticized by Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for evoking the “Black Power” salute, which he took as a critique of police. Giuliani was speaking with Fox & Friends when he commented on the gesture and performance, claiming that Beyonce used the platform to disrespect and attack the police. Giuliani’s statements undermine the 50 year anniversary of the Black Panter Party.
Reverse the roles. The Black Panthers are the equivalent of the skinheads. They believed that they were the superior race. And that the other race was inferior. They believed, preached and often acted out violence towards the opposite race. And before you say, well that was because. Let me stop you right there. Because as soon as you try to do that you're quite literally defending racism and hate. Justifying evil doesn't make it less evil.?

Nana's Helping Hand with PTSD with Anita Miranda
Anita Miranda, USN Retired, M.Ed., lives with PTSD (post-traumatic stress syndrome) not brought on by combat. She penned her first book along with a workbook, launching both in May, 2015. Incredibly, after only two days on Amazon.com, Nana’s Helping Hand with PTSD catapulted to bestseller status—in highlighting the painful prevalence of PTSD for thousands of families, especially with droves of veterans returning from America’s overseas wars.
PTSD also affects first responders such as firefighters and police, plus victims of assault and natural disasters. That’s why as a first-time bestselling children’s author, Miranda’s book is a significant contribution touching families urgently crying out for help to cope with America’s new mental health epidemic—PTSD.
Now you and your loved ones can fly higher while living with PTSD—by applying Miranda’s hands-on tips on how to cope with emotionally disabled family members, co-workers, and friends. Nana’s Helping Hand with PTSD is the first in Miranda’s 10-part self-help book series of “Nana Knows” for children and adults looking to problem-solve sensitive family issues.

Hey there Tea Sippers!! I'm pretty sure you have gotten the buzz that there are many Superbowl fans wishing to protest the halftime show because many feel that it promoted disrespecting police, being too militant with its tribute to Michael Jackson and The Black Panther Party, AND that Cold Play was promoting homosexuality with its colorful injections throughout their performance and the "Believe in Love" finale. This is going to be a significantly HOT POT of Tea, my darlings, so bring plenty of crumpets!!!
LESMA has had quite the weekend with the Super Bowl halftime controversy and several news stories breaking that have gotten attention from LE around the nation. David will be discussing TODAY'S hot button topics.
We are also bringing on a special guest, Marie- who has experience in LE as a dispatcher, has been married to an LEO for a very long time, but who is now a civilian herself. She wants to talk about the group and get the members, both LE and Supporters alike- active and passionate about the cause. She also has some interesting questions that she wants to bring up to David.
