State Sovereignty: The Estep Saga Continues, Springfield and SOGI

    in Politics Conservative

On January 22 of this year, Bob Estep was pulled over in a routine traffic stop in Christian County. That's about as far as we go with any consistency between what police say happened and what Estep says happened. New releases from the police department of Sparta this week widen the chasm even more between the reports of how the incident really went down. We'll continue our coverage tonight.

Somehow the Springfield newspaper managed to squeeze the Estep story in amongst the pages crowded with stories of how the "haters" want to encourage discrimination, who the "good Christians" and "bad Christians" are, and their hollow cries to expand the inequalities extended to special classes of people. We'll discuss the upcoming Springfield vote to recall the expansion of special privelege to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people.

Join us live at 7PM Missouri Time. Call and participate at 347-677-1835.

Hot Hitz DJ interviews indie artists Young Memph, Khatib, and UENO

    in Music

    Young Memph

Age of 21 born in the City of Memphis TN, Frayser area by way of Atlanta GA.. Young Memph has been influenced by artist such as Yo Gotti, Mr Bigs, The Isley Brothers, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Biggie & Tupac. Yet to date his greatest influence remains to be his sisters that taught him how to drop bars. Young Memph moved to Atlanta at the age of 12 and started recording at 13.

Memph states “he knew his music was good but not good enough” and started to make music all could enjoy, by not overpowering his musical creations with profanity . Not to say he has gone soft or lost his edge, his craft proves he can go bar for bar with the best of them with so much personality and distinctive swagger in his flow one can’t help but listen close for his next punch line or how Memph will deliver his next verse, while proudly holding his head high when his mother listens to his musical

    Khatib

Born April 8th, 1983 in Hayti, Missouri, Khatib had the normal, small town country living. Making due with what he had made him appreciate things at a young age. "I didn't have the best or much but whatever it was meant the world to me," recalls the lyrically gifted emcee. Growing up in the shadow of his older brother, Khatib participated in sports. Even though he was fairly talented in them, he felt athletics wasn't his calling. "That was my older brother's thing, my mom had me doing it because he did it" says Khatib. Dealing with feeling neglected from riffs between his parents, a young Khatib turned to music as an escape. The poetic satire of the artists only intrigued the young lad. It wasn't until the infamous butt whooping Khatib received for saying Snoop Doggy Dogg's "Doggystyle" album cover was going to be him, that he knew what his career path would be.

    Sharon Garlock Spiegel,Generations

    in Books

When Edward Garlock was sober, he was a kind, hard-working farmer providing for his wife and eight children, but drinking transformed him into a bully, capable of absolute cruelty. When he stepped into a revival tent in the early 1900s the Holy Spirit got ahold of him, changing not only his life, but thousands of others through Edward. This true story of a family’s troubled past will leave you breathless at the depravity of human nature and amazed at the power Divine intervention.
Sharon Garlock Spiegel loved writing even as a young girl. She often wrote stories and poetry - a skill she inherited from her grandmother, Jessie May Garlock. Today, the Assembly of God minister, school administrator and self-described "Missouri Yankee" keeps busy pastoring, teaching, and being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Still, one of her favorite activities is writing with purpose, sharing things that bless others. She and Roger, her husband of nearly fifty years, live in western Missouri and have three children and fourteen grandchildren.

Said El Harrak Joins the FNU Combat Sports Show!

    in Sports

This week we chat with Pro Boxer Said El Harrak (12-2-2, 7 KOs), who will be facing Chris Pearson (11-0, 9 KOs) on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. undercard on May 2nd. Born in London, El Harrak relocated to California as a young teenager and had an impressive amateur career. He turned pro in 2008 and won his first eight fights, leading to a ShoBox bout against fellow unbeaten Lanard Lane. The 5’11 El Harrak, who scaled in at 157 pounds for a bout two months prior to meeting Lane, took extreme measures to make 144 pounds for the opportunity. Unfortunately, he was unable to rehydrate and suffered a second round stoppage. After a three fight unbeaten streak, he lost a controversial split decision to contender Jesus Soto Karass on AztecaAmerica. Following the debatable setback, El Harrak scored two straight third round stoppages and battled to a draw against 17-2 Luis Grajeda. El Harrak will give us his thoughts on this huge opportunity and tell us about his boxing career in the second hour of the show. Tom, Tony and Rich also take our listeners through the week's combat sports news, results and events.
