Guest: Jonas Devurne, former Health and Human Services/ Social Services worker in Florida. Jonas will be discussing the fracturing of these systems under the Jeb Bush governorship, and the inevitable privatizing of services that Republicans are so fond of. While regaling the public with the supposed benefits of privatization, Bush nor anyone else mentioned that taxpayers would still be financing these systems only now, instead of funds going to help families or children, funds would go to friends and other special interests in a grand system of crony capitalism,.
One group who paid the price for this rigged system were the children in foster care. Funds that shoulad have gone towards helping deliquecy and dependency programs (foster care) were and are now going to private individuals for "managing" the system.
Dark money politics....the diversion of funding to special interests is done in plain sight.

Kelly Bates owns two pet food and supply retail locations in the North San Diego area, where she is able to share her passion for pet nutrition with the surrounding communities. She has been in the pet industry since 1999 and previously owned a pet sitting business. She graduated from California State University San Marcos in 2004 with a BS in Biology. Her degree has served her well in the pet industry, helping to determine the quality of products she wants to carry. This has enabled her to educate her staff and customers about the quality of products she stands behind in her retail locations.
Ms. Bates currently serves on the Board of Directors of two Non-profit organizations and had served in one business organization. She has served as Secretary for Canine Angels Service Teams since 2013. CAST raises and trains service dogs for children with special needs. She also serves as Treasurer for the Fallbrook Chorale, as she has loved singing since the age of 5. She also served as Secretary and Treasurer for BNI, Business Networking and Referrals International, from 2005-2010.
Ms. Bates is currently focusing on raising awareness for local rescues in the immediate area. Each month, Pet Nutrition Center hosts a pet party, which raises funds to be donated to the rescue or organization for that month. Twice a year Ms. Bates collaborates with her vendors to collect over 50 raffle baskets to support CAST at their annual graduation and during PNC's anniversary event. Kelly currently resides in Fallbrook, CA.
Wed. 2/10/2012 Join Austin Thomas and Liberty Lisa as we discuss money for everyone, obsoletion of taxation !!!! Time to open the CAFRS !!!! 6pm pst / 9pm est OPEN LINES 347-855-8301 press one to participate in the round table....exclusevly on Truth Emerges Radio ...What if I told you the government brings in 10 times what it needs to fund society? What if I told you that every time you hear about a budget deficit it's an illusion perpetrated to fool us into paying taxes that we don't need to pay? What if I told you that government, local state and federal are in on this scam and will rather claim bankruptcy than expose this scheme? What if I told you that Government pools it's money and invests it on Wall Street to amass hundreds of trillions in hidden funds that they then use to buy up private corporations and industry? Government is itself a corporation. This is NOT a democracy, it is communism with a fascist twist. When the government bails out banks they're really bailing out themselves. when they bailout corporations like General Motors, they're really bailing out themselves. Knowing this, it makes sense when we see little-to-no corporate taxes with massive loopholes and shelters in the tax code.
R.A.G BLOGTALK will discuss how gentrification is destroying black communities, also how the funds are allocated from the process of gentrification to the local politicians and federal polititians and the role some role churches play in gentrification

"The SAFE Program also aims to unite Black and poor communities by actively recruiting and hiring a number of our youth to help implement these much-needed services. Both drivers and escorts will be recruited from among the young and unemployed in our community, a strategythat at the same time will cut down the number of youth who would consider snatching a pocket book just to get a little change. In addition, drivers and escorts will be given extensive training in their respective fields, with both groups receiving intensive safety and FIRST-aid instruction.
State, federal, and local funding of the SAFE Program will also mean additional transportation-at least five vans with a seating capacity of twelve per sons each, plus the hiring ofa full-time program director and assistants. All totaled, the proposed annual budget for the SAFE Program comes to slightly less than two hundred thousand dollars ($195,530).
E orts to acquire funds for the SAFE Program have not yet been successful. A formal proposal has been presented before Oakland Model Cities, a federally funded poverty program, but that agency has made no commitment. A portion of Oakland's $4.5 million in revenue-sharing funds has been suggested for the SAFE Program, but the city administrators have been typically mum. Complete and adequate funding for the SAFE Program was, in fact, an integral part ofthe Seale-Brown Fourteen-Point Program to Rebuild Oakland in the 1973 campaign and, far from being abandoned, it will be included in initiatives and referendums.
The SAFE funding proposal, like the program itself, is an argument for our protection instead of our abuse by public service agencies, which theoreti cally function on our behalf. SAFE is a simple but basic program designed to help and secure the lives of a very important yet often forgotten segment of our communities: the older people." HUEY P. NEWTON
Tonight our incredible special guest is Kevin McCormack, the communications director at CIRM, California’s stem cell institute. Kevin is also a dear friend of Help4HD and was a featured keynote speaker at our first symposium in 2014.
He considers himself to be the official translator for the agency, working to turn complex language about equally complex science into everyday English that anyone, including Kevin, can understand. Before joining the agency he spent more than 20 years working as a journalist, most of that in TV news in San Francisco, California.
There is a new leader at CIRM, President and CEO Randy Mills and a new strategic plan. The topic of tonight’s show is CIRM’s new Strategic Plan which aims to engage the patient advocate community to increase the number of clinical trials CIRM funds, to help recruit patients for those clinical trials and to help make changes in the way the FDA works in order to speed up the ability to move promising research into clinical trials in people
