SORT BY Relevancy
Isn't this really the message that most science fiction puts ou?t - that human beings are either some sort of genetic experiment that went awry or a creative experiement that went horribly wrong. We explore this concept as well as a similar message from exopolitical writers and dystopian science fiction/fantasy futurism.

TODAY ON KILER DAVENPORT LIVE I AM GOING TO INTERVIEW CREATIVE GIL A. WATERS. THE FOLLOWING IS A LITTLE BIT ABOUT GIL AND HIS BOOK - NeuroVent Inc.
GIL A. WATERS: I am no one in particular. Just a generic middle-class white boy, born in the bowels of the Midwest and raised in a bland East Coast suburb of utter unremarkability. I’m a misanthrope who hungers for human connections. I don’t like people all that much, but I desperately need their validation to compensate for the fact that I have no intrinsic sense of self-worth. I find the world to be a largely uninhabitable place, but I am forced by an accident of birth to live in it. However, I try to see the humor in my existential predicament.
NEUROVENT INC.: In this fast-paced new novel, Gil A. Waters introduces us to an America warped by biological terrorism and a cast of characters scraping by on sex, drugs, and ammo. Rik was stuck in a dead-end office job, relying on copious amounts of weed to make it through each day. His affair with his boss was the only highlight in his otherwise miserable existence. Then a terrorist group released a vicious, highly contagious virus – and everything changed. When Rik becomes infected, he finds himself on the run from a government that ruthlessly hunts down anyone who might be sick. He soon learns that narcotics dull the symptoms, and that sex with another infected person gets him higher than he’s ever been. He hooks up with a beautiful ex-government agent, Dez, who is also infected. Together, they seek sanctuary in a mysterious underground organization: NeuroVont, Incorporated. What they find will blow their minds…

Genesis (Jah-I-Witness Emcee) Osagboro.. ......" .... Born the son of musician/activist, Olamina of Awareness Art Ensemble (A.A.E.), a very influential force in introducing African culture and reggae music to the Mid-Atlantic region, Jah-I’s musical roots run long and deep. In 2001, in the wake of the September 11th tragedy, Jah-I and a handful of live musicians formed the live hip hop unit called True Sound. True Sound captivated audiences with their funky blend of hip hop, ghetto rock, reggae and soul, which began to be described as “The True Sound Experience.” With Jah-I-Witness as the front man, True Sound blends the energy of a rock-n-roll show, with street savvy and politically charged lyrics, soulful vocals, and masterful musicianship. Alongside the brothers of True Sound, Jah-I has played many, notable venues in the mid-Atlantic region and has shared the stage with a number of nationally and internationally recognized acts and music legends; such as Busta Rhymes & The Flipmode Squad, The Wailers, Sugar Hill Gang, and Fishbone. As a solo artist, Jah-I has created a colorful sound that truly stands out from the grayness of the music industry. With the mic as his brush and beats as his canvas, Jah-I dips into his life experiences, emotions, and soul to paint sonic masterpieces. One such masterpiece, Stranger, was unveiled in 2005. Stranger, an eclectic mix of politically conscious rhymes, love ballads, and odes to hip hop proved to be an excellent showcase of Jah-I’s singing, rhyming, and production abilities. Stranger effectively blurred the lines between music genres, while simultaneously embodying the spirit of hip hop music and culture. In June of 2009, Jamglue.com launched an international remix-contest for the single "Here
