The View Up Here on #COP21, climate, costs and politics

    in Politics

Canada and its environment. Its air, water, lands, coastlines and glaciers. The last ten years is not a very positive recent past. The Harper Government withdrew from the Kyoto Accord, did absolutely nothing at Copenhagen and stayed on message that climate change was fake. A ruse by enviroterrorists to deny "Canadians" the "benefits" of a resource economy on steroids and wearing a blindfold. A decade later and Canada is the poster boy for failure in environmental stewardship.

COP21 in Paris promises to be different. The increase in major emitter participation in real planning has never been higher. There have never been so many public policies from nations on climate before. Have we heard this before? Well, yes and no. Despite the new level of urgency and co-operation, there will also be a massive corporate presence at the tables. How can one deny the inevitable industry being built to deal with this mess. And it won't be cheap even if it were.

Prime Minister Trudeau will be joined by Premiers, Environment Ministers and scientists in Paris. A united front for action is the narrative. Alberta has led the way domestically with introduction of  "Carbon Plan". Astroturf lobbies and sycophantic politicians warn of the economy disappearing. Yet the industry says they can work with it and it is reasonable on initial appearance. Cue the CPC end of days fundraising videos. Apparently, change is still evil.

Some regions are much better equipped for the shift from carbon to renewables than others and that's just domestically. Globally it's a much more visible issue. This is where our old friend Politics comes in. Recent events have basically outlawed protests of any kind in Paris. The efforts will now be dispersed around the world but may be even stronger given the access by all to be heard.

Lots to look at in two hours, but we will do our best and you are invited.

Aliens and the Antichrist with John W. Milor

Join Kenneth and John while they discuss the empirical events across the world leading up to World War III, the trickery and deceit of the New World Order, and the bizarre weirdness of the fallen angelic UFO phenomenon as we plunge head first into the forthcoming apocalypse and the Seven Seals of Revelation (chapter 6). Tonight we are honored to have screen play writer and author John W. Milor join us to talk about his book, "Aliens and the Antichrist" and "Aliens in the Bible.  John has some amazing insights to the scripture that few authors have attempted to address that open a lot possibilities to how many of the events in our future may occur.  This should prove to be an interesting program. God willing.

God Bless You - See you there!

SNOFH with Aj-Poet. Speak Now Or Forever Hold (Up and Coming Artists) Music Ind.

    in Performing Arts

Each time we air our goal is to promote interest in the creative arts community. The focus is to allow artists in the community get their recognition.  We know that radio has been for years at the forefront of communication and no matter how technology will send us in different directions, radio is here to stay.  Almost everyone has something to say and what better opportunity to say it then to bring it straight to radio and then to the world.

Aj-Poet a native of Westchester County in White Plains, NY to be exact is jumping in head first to share her family of performers, artist, writers with the community.  She hoping not only to reach individuals in the surrounding area but to launch a movement to preserve the beauty of the arts.  She especially want that person who we call the "closeted" artist to come out and shine.  No longer will we sing only in our bathroom or paint behind closed doors.  What is freeing with radio is that these talents can be communicated behind a microphone exposing many to what we are afraid to show.  However once revealed a star is born.

Aj-Poet will be interviewing, playing music, sharing taped and live interviews.  Discussing what folks are doing out there and also promoting their crafts.  From authors who are reachable in our communities to dancers and musicians about to do a show.  She will have entrepreneurs, supporters, activists, politicians, community leaders and active participants in our communities.

Currently the show is aired from the Blue Door Arts Gallery located at 13 Riverdale Ave, Yonkers, NY every other Friday at 1pm. On alternative Friday's Aj-Poet takes her show on the road to interview artist out and about.  Stay tuned to dates and locations.  If you miss the show there is always a feed into Facebook. Deepertruth: Eucharistic Miracle of Ludbreg Croatia 1411

    in Religion

In 1411 at Ludbreg, in the chapel of the Count Batthyany’s castle, a priest was celebrating Mass. During the consecration of the wine, the priest doubted the truth of transubstantiation, and the wine in the chalice turned into Blood. Not knowing what to do, the priest embedded this relic in the wall behind the main altar. The workman who did the job was sworn to silence. The priest also kept it secret and revealed it only at the time of his death. After the priest’s revelation, news quickly spread and people started coming on pilgrimage to Ludbreg.

The Holy See later had the relic of the miracle brought to Rome, where it remained for several years. The people of Ludbreg and the surrounding area, however, continued to make pilgrimages to the castle chapel.

In the early 1500s, during the pontificate of Pope Julius II, a commission was convened in Ludbreg to investigate the facts connected with the Eucharistic miracle. Many people testified that they had received marvelous cures while praying in the relic’s presence. On April 14, 1513, Pope Leo X published a Bull permitting veneration of the holy relic which he himself had carried in procession several times through the streets of Rome. The relic was later returned toCroatia.

In the 18th century, northern Croatia was ravaged by the plague. The people turned to God to call upon His help, and the Croatian Parliament did the same. During the session held on December 15, 1739 in the city of Varazdin, they vowed to build a chapel at Ludbreg in honor of the miracle if the plague ended. The plague was averted, but the promised vow was only fulfilled in 1994, when democracy was restored in Croatia.
