If you've ever wondered how the brave service men and women of the armed forces go about serving their country while maintaining their reptile collections, then this is the show you've been waiting to hear. Dave Jenkins of Royal Hijinx Pythons is one such individual. Currently an active duty officer in the US Navy, Mr. Jenkins has served multiple tours in a military career spanning decades. CK catches up with Dave to discuss some of the logistical issues of managing a collection from abroad, and how despite the obvious barriers, selling off your collection doesn't have to be the sole option before going on tour.
In this episode of Independence Nation, president of Light of Life Keith A. Pitts, MSE tackles the issue of Secret Service gaffes and how it relates to past instances of misconduct, as well as other sectors of government who have had similar mishaps. The head of the Secret Service took responsibility for recent White House security breaches during a congressional hearing on Tuesday and promised to persevere notwithstanding a number of lapses that occurred on her watch.
SPONSORED BY MARK PITTMAN--The military, aside from the obvious function it was created to do, once offered the additional bonus of taming an out-of-control person, especially a youth, helped build good character, sturcture, discipline etc. Being a soldier held a code of honor both behind the walls among the platoon members, as well as in the eyes of the grateful public. In earlier times, the protection of the military for its soldiers was also a very well-known factor. Today however, unspeakable military atrocities--inclusive of murder, rape, discrimination and even cover-ups of these horrors behind the high walls are on a massive level. More than ever, military recruiters are projecting the "happy family" image of miltary life to our youth. With what we know about today's drastic differences in the behavior and environment of our youth, is the military a viable option, or fuel to the fire? The current air campaign being conducted by the United States and its coalition allies in Iraq and Syria, is a complex and poorly understood operation by the American people. And clearly, the Administration of President Barack Obama prefers it that way, given that they have not even bothered to announce publicly, a name for the operation. Most of the commentators regarding this operation are political in nature, with an occasional retired Army or Marine general officer, to comment on aerial operations they have little or no insight into, and no personal experience with whatsoever. The airwaves, cable, and satellite bandwidth is presently dominated by airpower dilettantes, ignorants, and media wannabes, providing the public with no information whatsoever about the combat operations currently being in the Middle East by America and its Allies. There is however one place they can go to gain information and learn the truth about what is happening right now, and that place this week is Military Monday on the Writestream Radio Network.
For the finest and most authoritative discussion you will hear in American media on the current bombing campaign in Syria and Iraq, join military historian, author and journalist John D. Gresham (@Greshamj01) for Military Monday (#MilitaryMonday on @Writestream) at 1 p.m. Eastern. His guest this week is Lt. Gen. David Deptula (@Deptula_David), USAF (Ret.). and Dean of the Air Force Association's (@AirForceAssoc) Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies. General Deptula is a career fighter pilot, intelligence officer, and airpower planner, whose experience includes helping construct the air campaign plan for Operation Desert Storm, and actually supervising the air campaigns in Afghanistan (2001) and Iraq (2003). Arguably the finest authority on airpower in the world today, the general is going to give listeners an amazing hour of information they will find nowhere else.

Warrior Talk Radio with GI Jenn & Jeff Gonzales is proud to welcome Dave Bray, lead singer of Madison Rising and Col. Rob Maness, running for US Senate in Louisiana.
Dave Bray, lead singer of the band Madison Rising and a dedicated leader and patriot. Dave was a Recruit Chief Petty Officer in basic training, a Master at Arms in A-school, and was awarded the honor of Top Dog in Field Medical Service School. He would finally serve in the U.S. Navy as an 8404 FMF Corpsman for the 2nd Battalion / 2nd Marines stationed out of Camp Lejeune NC.
Madison Rising brings great rock music back to the forefront of popular culture. With songs ranging from the guitar heavy opening track "Right To Bear" it is clear that this band is on a mission to not only make great music, but also send a message that American culture is alive and well. Madison Rising promotes the principles of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility.
Ret. Col Rob Maness, Senate candidate for Louisianna, made the decision as a 17 year old high school senior to enlist in the Air Force and served in the midst of the Iranian hostage crisis. He worked his way up from the enlisted ranks to full colonel and retired from active duty in 2011, ending his military service of more than 32 years.
Ret. Col Maness led numerous combat operations; two of which were as a bomber squadron commander in OEF & OIF. As a Joint Chiefs of Staff Operations Officer he was on duty in the National Military Command Center located within the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks.
