A Better Person For President Is On Blog Talk Radio At 5:30pm - Curtis Clinton

    in Elections

The Title says it all, and why. It makes sense. I come from your place, or very close to it, even if we are at odds. I am not campaigning for your money, am not a Politician, will be among the best smart Commander-In-Chiefs, even protecting our military men and women. What are our problems and worries? What are your problems or worries. They are many of mine because many of them touch me or have touched me, my family and people we know and don’t know. I know an unknown person has no chance to be seen by you. I know that its stupid to do this, and it even looks more stupid. But it’s not that stupid when you consider all the stupid things that are going on right now or that have just happened. Please see me in a better smart light. I say things that you may not like or want to hear. But they are for our own good, I must say them and bring them to light and right. There are some faulty people running for President. I am not one of them. I am one of us, if you can understand that in all its fullness. I know that when you get in the White House, things change. But I will be mind-fast heart-fast soul-fast honest-fast truth-fast. If you are a person I want better for you. If you are an animal I want better for you. If you are the earth I want better for you. The White House belongs to you, not to a Political Party but a person of the people, ordinary if necessary. I am Curtis Clinton, in fact, a better Clinton. If you see it that way, could you and will you put together 120,000,000 Write-In Ballots for a Presidency being for us, with just one of us in there seeing to a better United States and for Americans with blood types of O's, A's and B's. If that many are cast, we will not have a divided country or Congress. One caring willing doing person can start a better world. You can begin with such a President. I am here for you. This is not for me. thanks, bwell, c2it, i am c2 and Curt Clinton

Filmmakers Phil Falcone & John De Meo – Co Producers of "Joe’s War"

    in Radio

Next up on my Filmmakers Series is Phil Falcone and John De Meo, who co-produced and wrote the film Joe’s War. The movie also marks the directing debut of Falcone. Premiered at the Garden State Film Festival, Joe’s War is the compelling story of Joe Caruso, a young Marine who attempts to return to his previous life upon returning home from the War on Terror. Watch the trailer here. The movie vividly depicts the daily struggles of facing up to and dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the devastating effects on family and friends. Upon his return home, now former Marine Sergeant Caruso attempts to seamlessly fall back into his routine with the help of his family and friends, all the while coping with his life changing overseas battle. Joe continues on a downward spiral, and in an attempt to regain control of his life, he enlists the help of some new friends and the aid of a therapist played by Armand Assante. Joe's War presents a realistic view of life with PTSD, and the film has many scenes that are difficult to watch. PTSD isn’t exclusive to the military; individuals with other mental illnesses are at higher risk, and women are twice as likely to develop PTSD than men. Approx 55% of US military personnel returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan seek health care services from the VA. In 2013, the VA spent about $600 million for PSTD treatment. Even though veterans are only 7% of the population, they account for 20% of suicides. And this needs to stop now. After the interview, please check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.

Military Monday with John D. Gresham With Author RADM Dave Oliver, USN (Ret.)

    in Lifestyle

Of all the human qualities that are desired by people here in America and around the world right now, there can be little doubt or question that leadership is at the top of that list. Diluted by decades of indifference and mediocrity since the days of the "Greatest Generation" that fought in World War II, leadership as become a quality as rare as 100-carat diamonds and honest politicians. Nevertheless, those of us with long memories do recall touchstone individuals who not only made a difference in their time, but changed the very world they were part of forever. One of these was a somewhat gnomish and often disliked naval officer who created a whole new technology and era literally through the force of his own will: Adm. Hyman G. Rickover, USN.

Today, Rickover remains something of an enigma to military historians and analysts almost 3 decades after his death. Arguably one of the most brilliant and powerful naval officers of his day, he never commanded great ships and fleets in battle. Able to make other officers and politicians sweat and fear for their professional lives, his actual job for most of his career was to build engines for submarines and surface ships. And while his nuclear engines changed the history of the world, at no time did he ever command a ship powered by one. To learn more about this important figure in U.S. history, join author, historian, journalist, game designer, and documentary filmmaker John D. Gresham (@Greshamj01) for Military Monday (#MilitaryMonday on the Writestream Radio Network (@Writestream)) at 1 PM EDT. His guest this week will be U.S. Naval Institute Press (@USNI_Books) author and career submariner RADM Dave Oliver, USN (Ret.). Oliver is the author of the new book AGAINST THE TIDE, a biographical study of Rickover and his unique leadership and management styles.
