Milestones, Markers, and Monuments! Celebrate your Accomplishments

    in Self Help

Life is vibrant when we consciously engage with four concepts: FOCUS, BALANCE, PRODUCTIVITY, and FULFILLMENT.

The first three concepts are easily grasped.

We know that our lives should have meaning and purpose.
We know that our lives need a sense of balance.
We know that we must get things done.

What I believe is the biggest challenge is seriously comprehending the need for celebrating and fulfillment.  Feeling fulfilled is key to refueling our lives so that we have the necessary energy to focus once more and seek balance in pursuit of being productive.

Join Nicole Greer, PPCC for insight into how you can create greater fulfillment through milestones, markers, and monuments that celebrate your accomplishments.

Milestones: Does Your Child Measure Up?

    in Moms and Family

Tonight on "It's Real Talk Radio", Miss Behave & Jay Styles come together for a second time to collaborate on another motherhood show. The first was successful so of course this was inevitable. The topic of discussion is Milestones and the question is: "Does your child measure up?"

When you have children, you will find that there is a universal guideline for what milestones your child should be hitting. For instance, at 6 months old, normally your child is ready for solids. We all know that every child is unique & develops differently, but sometimes our expectations are set a little high for an infant or toddler while other times expectations tend to be set too high, so it's all about the proper balance to save you and your child a lot of headaches.

Tonight Miss Behave & Jay Styles will be breaking it all down so make sure you don't miss out and if you have a question or comment you'd like to share, feel free to call in. The Call-in # is 347-838-9540 just remember to press 1 if you want to be brought on air.

Bears Take Risk, Blackhawks Milestones, Bulls Finding Form, Sweet 16 Picks

    in Sports

The Chicago Bears added two defensive ends to their roster on Tuesday.  One of them may be a distraction to a team that had locker room issues last season.  The Blackhawks bounced back from an ugly loss to the Dallas Stars over the weekend with a 3-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes Monday night, thanks to the continued strength of Corey Crawford in net.  Jonathan Toews and Coach Joel Quenneville both hit career milestones with the win.  The Bulls clinched a playoff spot with their over the Charlotte Hornets Monday night, with rookie Nikola Mirotic again leading the way with solid minutes off the bench.  Joakim Noah has been playing the point-center position very well in Derrick Rose's absence. Should Tom Thibodeau think about using Noah to run the offense when Derrick returns?  Plus, my bracket for the NCAA tournament is still alive, but certainly not perfect. I'll give a preview of two of the upcoming Sweet 16 matchups.  All this and your phonecalls! (347) 327-9183.

    in Self Help

The only radio show dedicated to the issues of loss and grief.

Today's converstion will focus on "transitional grief". Sometimes we experience grief, not because of a loss, but becaues of an ending or a change.

Traditionally June is the time when we celebrate important transitions such as graduations, weddings, new jobs.

We will look at these experiences and see the the hidden grief that exists and why sometimes celebrations are not always considered "happy"

Live music: Midnight Lover slow R&B,lovers rock 60s 70s 80s reggae just for you

Motown Love Songs: Motown Milestones emphasizes the label's romantic ballads and slow jams, and while tracks like the Miracles' "Ooo Baby Baby," the Jackson 5's "I'll Be There" and the Temptations' "Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)" are all undisputed classics, over the course of its 18 cuts the collection grows thin, with too many of the songs subscribing to the same sonic formula (gossamer harmonies, lush strings and glacial rhythms). The track selection is also more than a little suspect -- any collection of Motown love songs on which the contributions of Michael Jacksonoutnumber those of Marvin Gaye by a two-to-one ratio really needs to go back to the drawing board.
