    Twisted Faith

    in Christianity

Hear more on how God use Jonas and Anne founders of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels:

    From The Show:

“I just want to say there we totally believe that Auntie Anne’s was created to give. First when Jonas said we were a little confused about, where we were really getting off track because we thought that we were coming back from Texas to “minister”. What does that mean, behind the pulpit or singing? [00:40:00] What we understood clearly when God showed us that in a mission Sunday service, God spoke to me and said, “I have created Auntie Anne’s a vehicle for mission, for giving.” Auntie Anne’s because the ministry that God gave to us.

What he wanted to do with Auntie Anne’s was he wanted us to make lots of money so that we could do the work of the kingdom. Our motto became, “You give to get to give again.” That is the principle, you give. People say, “Oh, I can’t give. I have nothing to give.” Yes, you have something to give. You give first of all out of whatever you have and then God blesses that. You give to get in return to give again. That became our motto. Auntie Anne’s I believe was successful and the counseling center, all of it became successful, is in existence today because of the principle of giving.”

    Big Daddy's Don't Fly

    in Christianity

Part Two of our interview with Mike Weaver of Big Daddy Weave.

    From the Show:
"Big Daddys are really overtly American guys. We love to sit in big brown chair. That’s where recliner with a special place for a big golf drink it’s like that’s …we’re very comfortable creatures and they said do you want to go to Africa, I’m like it seems hot in Africa.
The other problem with that entire thing was that I’m … really to get to Africa it was going to be a really long plane ride and Big Daddys and planes do not mix I’m telling you. Just ask the first one on either side of us whenever we’re sitting it’s like we’re done with it a couple of hours into it."

Here how Mike was impacted by God's amazing generosity in Tanzania and how it changed his life!

    Big Daddy's Don't Fly

    in Christianity

Join Mike and Tom with special guest Mike Weave of Big Daddy Weave. As Mike shared God's Love though his lack of proper self image.

    From the Show:
"I have always struggled for some years out of my life but even after all that God has done, and I’ve seen Him do so much around me and through the ministry of Big Daddy Weave and through people that we know and we’ve just seen his blessing in ways that we would never doubt his existence, we would never doubt his love for us even though I’ve never doubted God’s love for me, I’ve always struggled because of dealing with weight and because of dealing with just some other inward stuff, I’ve always struggled with the way that I look at myself and really being able to accept me.
I’m telling that has plagued my life for as long as I can remember so long in fact that I didn’t really remember how to give voice to it. We never really talked in church at least in my church growing up about how we were supposed to see ourselves." - Mike Weaver

This is Part One of a very power interview.

    Causes 4 Kids

    in Christianity

Today’s public education reality is that budgets continue to shrink, leaving parents with a growing financial burden to pay for after school and extracurricular activities that historically were covered by the schools.  “No kid should miss out on learning and development opportunities due to lack of sufficient funds,” says Hogan. “Education doesn’t stop when the school bell rings at the end of the day. Whether the need is supplies for a science fair project, music lessons or sports equipment, we wanted to provide a means for kids to pursue their interests even when the cost of doing so surpasses the expendable income in the household.”

Join Mike and Tom as we meet two innovative men that want to meet this gap.

    Living a Generous Life

    in Christianity

Join Mike and Tom as they discuss the REAL meaning of generosity:

Generosity is more than talk but the demonstration, and that real tangibility of faith moving from abstract to concrete as it really overcomes that massive devastation that’s left in all of us, worse than a tornado out of a summer night sky is what selfishness does to the soul, and when you see that counteracted in the life of people because the grace of God’s bright-living reality in them of a generosity that goes beyond nears human sentiment, but really to an inverse way of living in this thing called, ‘The Kingdom of God’. That’s exciting.

    Living a Generous Life

    in Christianity

Join Mike and Tom as they discuss the REAL meaning of generosity:

The adjectives generosity, missional, organic, relevant, contemporary, the dangerous they could be sort of painted over a shellac on to just about any kind of activity, and it’s so much deeper than the words and so much more needed than just talking about it. That’s what really has me fired up about today, as we talk about those practical ways that God’s people are demonstrating His character, and really living out the discipline of generosity and as an expression of faith, as an expression of love for God Almighty through His son, Jesus Christ of a response to the incredible generosity God has shown us,
