John (Bilal) Markis, www.miraclecomeback.com, returns to bring us up to date on his organization.
Miracle Comeback has just had it's 11th blood drive. Six years ago, if it weren't for donated blood from complete strangers, John would have lost one of his sons.
Joining us will also be Mickey Wilson, who is an officer in the organization. Ms. Wilson's daughter has sickle cell anemia, and like John, is showing her thankfulness by helping others benefit from these drives.
Hear what started this all----and how it has been changing lives, not just in US, but in several other countries!

. The conclusion of the series, RAISING AFRICAN AMERICAN MALES IN TODAY’S SOCIETY will culminate with two distinguished guest who exemplifies the very essence of being brought up as African American Males themselves in today’s society.
We will be honored to hear from speakers, Wallace Francis, a former NFL player (Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons) who chose to retire in the prime of his NFL career and become the National Director of Ambassador For Christ International. And Damieon Crook, founding principal of Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy of Houston Texas. Both of these men will enlighten us on the prevalent subject of Raising African Males in Today’s society. Parents are encouraged to call in and join the conversation.
Today I am thrilled that my guest is performer, actor and filmmaker, Mickey Solis. He is currently a performer at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York as well as being the screenwriter for an upcoming film called "Michigan" which deals with the gut-wrenching subject of teen-aged suicide. In this show we'll be talking about Michigan and how Mickey Solis became involved with this project. So listen in and learn about this very important upcoming film.
As always, thank you so very much for listening!
Originally, the anniversary show was going to be played today - however due to some technical difficulties, the program that I used to EDIT the show, and put it together, like I did recently with the B B King tribute, the William "Mickey" Stephenson/MOTOWN show, the Mother's day tribute and others - did not work with the current update that I did with WINDOWS 10 - I have to resort to some other methods and do the show next week, which is still in August, by the calendar I checked, so hold onto your mules..... I should have listened to VALCINE's clue when she said she had some issues with Windows 10 and I should have remembered all the other times when WINDOWS updated, it kicked out some programs ETC.
ANY WHO -
Tonight, you will hear one of the earlier shows - which featured Mark Dixon, Aaron Anderson, Cecelia Davis and Anna Redding. This was a show back in 2011 where the COOL CRITICS look back at 2011... Enjoy -
