Jason Lawrence Tonight’s guest is Psychologist Tara Well. Dr. Well is a New York based author and professor of psychology at Barnard College and Columbia University. She has a Ph.D. in Personality Psychology from Michigan State University, and 20 years experience teaching, researching and writing about psychology, as well as extensive training in mind-body healing modalities, and meditation and Yoga. As Dr. Well puts it, her work focuses on what motivates people, and how motivation influences our perceptions. Tara is currently writing a book called, The Power of Self-Reflection, which is all about a technique she’s developed that starts with a practitioner looking at his or her reflection in a mirror. In this show Tara talks about the process of Self-Reflection, who needs it, and what the benefits can be for someone with a steady practice. Self-Reflection is, ironically, a practice that takes some getting used to at a time in our history when taking “selfies” is so common. For more information on Dr. Tara Well go to www.TaraWell.com

Why New American State? Because the current state of America.is not working. Mon-Fri 8-10 pm eastern
Our country is going through transformations not seen since the Industrial Revolution. America is transforming because it HAS TO. The current state of our nation, politically and economically, is unsustainable. Change is the only certainty. I am a part of that change. If you live in the United States, consciously or unconsciously, YOU are a part of that change too. As we go through these changes together, we will be the ones redefining the state of America, the new American state. These are extraordinary times.
Welcome to another edition of Howard's Talk, the official STS podcast. This week we take some time to talk abut what we've learned about Clemson over the first 3 weeks of the season and how it compares to our preseason expectations. We also discuss Clemson's QB controversy as well as why our OL is hot garbage. After that we take some time to preview this weekend's matchup against Florida State, arguably our biggest game of the season. Of course we would be remiss if we didn't talk about the breaking news involving Jameis Winston and what it means for Clemson. Finally we finish things up by answering some reader questions.
Hope you all are doing fine.
