REAL TALK ALL THE TIME!!!
The reptile trade attracts folks of all sorts to its hallowed halls; drawing the interested and sometimes unsuspecting in with the jewel-like living curiosities that fire our senses to a point where we just can't resist keeping them as treasured possessions. Most 'herpers' start their collections with some of the more pedestrian offerings available, then gradually gravitate toward the more challenging and/or pricier fare. However, occasionally somebody seemingly out of nowhere pulls the trigger for the privelege to begin the process with some of the most coveted offerings the market has to offer. In this episode, CK interviews Michael Freedman of The Florida Reptile Ranch and asks him how he managed to build such a potent collection of Ball Python morphs in such a seemingly short period of time. If you enjoy BP morph talk, listen in and get ready for some juicy chatter.

Join me tonight on We Resisters Radio as Dru Forseti and I discuss Michael Pollan's book: The Omnivore's Dilemma. Mr. Pollan takes us from the inception to the consumption of four American meals. The first is fast food, highly processed, eaten on the run. Listen as we discuss corn, feedlots, and big food in America. The next meal is BIG ORGANIC. Learn the difference between large organic food companies (usually subsidiaries of conventional food companies) and local, responsible treatment of food. Then he takes us to Joel Salatin's Polyface Farms. Joel is a grass farmer, who raises animals for food. If the grass is healthy, so are the animals. Lastly Mr. Pollan examines a meal for which he has foraged. Through it all he discussed our disconnect from food, and how important it is that we get it back.
Join Casper, Howard, and Matt as we talk with Michael Carroll from N.E.S.T. New England Spiritual Team from the basics to events including the Thomaston Opera House in May! TANK. Debuts new single' If You Were Mine' from his new EP " IF YOU WERE MINE '
Tank came out on the other side with that "story"—his sixth full-length solo album, Stronger [Atlantic Records]. In between releasing Three Kings and touring, he spent the better part of 2013 building his latest body of work. Whether he was on a plane, in hotel rooms, or at home in Los Angeles, he completely submersed himself in the creative process. Tank also found an inspiring collaborator in the iconic Jerry "Wonder" Duplessis [The Fugees, Shakira, Miguel]. While in Jerry's NYC studio one night, the pair simply clicked.
"He's everything I thought he would be," Tank goes on. "He's a musician's producer. He can take these musical elements and make them absolutely fly. We wanted to make something that felt retro and part of the future all at the same time. I needed that inspiration from him." The lead single "You're My Star," which was produced by Tank himself, shines a bright light on that kind of affection. After a dreamy intro, an upbeat swing gives way to handclaps and horns as Tank delivers one of his most infectious hooks to date. Originally inspired by the bass line from Michael Jackson’s "This Place Hotel", it's a swaggering anthem punctuated by powerful falsetto and live instrumentation.
"I needed to say it the way a woman loves to hear it and how she probably hasn't heard it in a long time," he smiles. "This is dedicated to my star. Nobody talks like that anymore. Nobody's poetic. Nobody's romantic. I've got to reintroduce that style."
Also on the album, "Dance With Me" immediately incites movement with its soulful singing and up-tempo bounce. Tank continues, "It's about having fun again. You're
Jackson was born 29 August 1958, in Gary, Indiana, to an African-American working-class family. His father, Joseph Jackson, had been a guitarist but had put aside his musical aspirations to provide for his family as a crane operator. Believing his sons had talent, he molded them into a musical group in the early 1960s. At first, the Jackson Family performers consisted of Michael's older brothers Tito, Jermaine, and Jackie. Michael joined his siblings when he was five, and emerged as the group's lead vocalist. He showed remarkable range and depth for such a young performer, impressing audiences with his ability to convey complex emotions. Older brother Marlon also became a member of the group, which evolved into the The Jackson 5.
First taking to the stage at the age of just 11 as part of his family's gig The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson grew quickly into the superstardom which would both reward and plague his life. An apparently unstoppable creative and financial force through the highs of his career, 'The King of Pop' struggled with a confused and turbulent private life that was often made appallingly public. In the wake of his shock death though, it is for his artistry - and not his controversies - that he will be remembered and sadly missed.
