Tonight we have Alabama Entreprenuer Danny Cook on the show to discuss building a home made methane digester, using commonly available materials and supplies, how it is built, what it does and how to collect and store the fuel as well as different by products created by this process.
Mr. Cook is an extemely sharp inventor/entreprenuer and he will be sharing a great deal of valuable information, on a wide variety of energy related subjects, so be sure and keep your notebooks handy.

Hope to see you there!
Cowspiracy is the documentary everyone needs to watch. Filmakers Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn will be joining me for an in depth interview on the impact of animal agricultural on our environment and why everyone seems to be ignoring it.
Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption and pollution, is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry, and is a primary driver of rainforest destruction, species extinction, habitat loss, topsoil erosion, ocean “dead zones,” and virtually every other environmental ill. Yet it goes on, almost entirely unchallenged.
As Andersen approaches leaders in the environmental movement, he increasingly uncovers what appears to be an intentional refusal to discuss the issue of animal agriculture, while industry whistleblowers and watchdogs warn him of the risks to his freedom and even his life if he dares to persist.
As eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth, this shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet, and offers a path to global sustainability for a growing population.
Thursday Night Thunder with host Adam Sinclair (@faborplumbs) and co-host Mykkal Mulalley (@Mykkal61) will immerse all of their listeners in a cloud of nitro-methane, as the stars of the International Hot Road Association take over the program!
First off, we welcome Larsen Motorsports Jet Dragster pilot Shea Holbrook back to the Thunderdome, as she discusses her first weekend of competition in the Nitro Jam Series, as well as her plans for 2015.
Next, we bring IHRA Pro Stock driver John DeFlorian into the spotlight, as he talks about being the fastest Pro Stock driver in the series.
Then, we chat with IHRA Nitro Funny Car championship winner Jason Rupert about the Prostalgia Funny Car class, and how it compares to the even funnier cars that run in the NHRA.
After that, we will discuss the true meaning of courage and insanity with Nitro Harley rider Jay Turner, who travels down the quarter-mile at speeds in excess of 220 mph with only one wheel touching the ground!
Finally, we welcome Miss Nitro Jam Lea Anne Powell back to the Thunderdome, as she talks about the start of the Nitro Jam season, as well as which races she is most looking forward to this year.
So, be sure to grab your gas masks and tighten your seat belts for a fast paced look into the IHRA!

A news article today in the London Independent states "Nasa finds evidence of 'life on Mars."
The article further states that "evidence of life on Mars could have been found by Nasa's Curiosity Rover. One of the instruments on the robot found mysterious spikes of methane that cannot easily be explained by geology or other theories. Scientists can’t be sure what is causing the spikes, but it is possible that it could be very small, bacteria-like living organisms."
If the gas is coming from living, breathing microbes then it would mark one of the biggest discoveries in history.

Special Guest Tim DeChristopher
Nearly a month after the historic People’s Climate March in NYC, what’s next? Tim and Russell will discuss the week of actions scheduled in Washington DC November 1-7 — Beyond Extreme Energy.
Rev. Lennox Yearwood and Tim DeChristopher wrote a letter endorsing the Beyond Extreme Energy (BXE) actions in November.
"The power demonstrated on the streets of New York was a signal that we are big enough and strong enough to take our government out of the grip of the fossil fuel industry. Without question we need to step it up and organize campaigns and actions that are at the scale and boldness needed, including multi-day direct action at specific targets.”
Wildfires may be just a newsflash on Long Island where the cool fall air does not signal a water shortage. But these are perhaps the two most significant issues of the American Southwest. Water is the most ignored at-risk commodity in the artificially lush Los Angeles area that has literally made water run uphill as it carelessly drained the water recourses of the state. In parallel, the recent rash of suspicious fires is a scary reminder of the death and destruction that sears through the region each year. The tinderbox of homes and trees are clearly at the mercy of nature and sociopathic arsonists testing skill and daring of the first responders…. the thin line of defense against wildfires.
About the Book: Tunnel Visions
Working 5 miles inside a water tunnel in 1971, Willie Carter was one of 17 men killed in a methane explosion. The ensuing underground fire burned for two days before Los Angeles firefighters could attempt a rescue in what became known in California as the Sylmar Tunnel disaster.
Tunnel Visions, a work of “faction,” blends fact and fiction, weaving together the historical facts of the Sylmar disaster, the current struggle for control over California's diminishing water supply, and a fictional plot to attack Los Angeles' water delivery system.
Tunnel Visions occurs on a single day, during which Nick and Cindi experience a series of harrowing events as they attempt to stop an act of eco terrorism.
Kurt Kamm’s expertise in the parallel issues of water and fire educates his readers in the telling of a fictional story laced in facts … providing a deeper understanding of the men and women across the country who fight the fires … and the politics. au

We're long overdue to air Alex Smith's Radio Ecoshock, the world's largest podcast of all things pertaining to climate disruption.
Notes from the site. SUMMARY: Will the Pacific ocean change-up called El Nino startle the world? The latest update from NASA, plus two scientific experts. It's not what you think. Ends with backyard farmer Luke Kimmel and his green bag of tips. Mike Halpert, Dr. Shayne McGregor, Luke Kimmel. Will 2014 or 2015 will be hottest in recorded human history? First we get the latest update on El Nino from Mike Halpert, Acting Director, of NOAA's Climate Prediction Center, in College Park, Maryland. Then I speak with ocean climate expert Dr. Shayne McGregor, and double check with Australia's Dr. Matthew England. It leads to a surprising conclusion.
Then Dave Lindorff This Can't Be Happening April 9 2014 on Progressive Radio Network interviews Professor Harold Wanless, chair of the Geology Department at the University of Miami and a leading climate change expert, talks about the latest IPCC report, explaining that as scary as its latest predictions are for global warming, it is far too conservative, because the IPCC does not factor in the feedback loops that are making things get worse faster — whether it’s the doubling of the pace of Greenland and Western Antarctic ice melt every seven years, or the releasing of massive methane deposits in permafrost and undersea methyl cathrates. If we don’t act quickly to significantly reduce the use of carbon fuels, he says, we could see a “baked in” 70-foot sea rise, perhaps in our children’s or grandchildren’s lives, and even an end to human civilization.
