Merrell Fankhauser has led one of the most diverse and interesting careers in music. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and moved to California when he was 13 years old. Merrell went on to become one of the innovators of surf music and psychedelic folk rock.
His travels from Hollywood to his 15 year jungle experience on the island of Maui have been documented in numerous music books and magazines in the United States and Europe. Merrell has gained legendary international status throughout the field of rock music; his credits include over 250 songs published and released. He is a multi-talented singer/songwriter and unique guitar player whose sound has delighted listeners for over 35 years.
In the early 60s, Merrell led the instrumental surf group The Impacts who had a hit with their album titled "WIPE OUT", which was reissued in 1994 on Del Fi Records in the United States and in 1995 on Repertoire Records in Germany. Merrel's published a new CD using the sound that's coming from the Mailibu underwater ancient ruins (which could be a secret government installation or an ET base) with his sounds to create music which is spine tingling and chilling.
He's been featured in the book "Alien Rock" which is about many of the rock stars of the 60s and 70s who experienced alien abductions and downloads as inspiration for their music.

Paris Is Burning
PARIS — Explosions, smoke and automatic gunfire erupted Friday at the site of a hostage-standoff north of Paris where heavily armed police had cornered two suspects in the terror attacks on a satirical newspaper.
It was not immediately clear whether a full-scale police assault was underway, but it coincided with a police report that a gunman at a second standoff, at a supermarket in Paris, was threatening to kill as many as five hostages if police stormed the two brothers holed up in the village of Dammartin-en-Goele.

The only thing known for certain about the 1960s Girl Group known as The Ribbons (Arthetta Givan, Lovie Kinchion, Evelyn Doty and Vessie Simmons) is that they had one nationally charting single in February 1963 and that was the # 81 Billboard Pop Hot 100 Ain't Gonna Kiss Ya, written by James Marcus Smith (better known as P.J. Proby), and which was produced by Marshall Lieb and distributed on the tiny Los Angeles-based Marsh M-202 b/w My Baby Said.
