Birmingham, Alabama - the Magic City - saw events and courageous people who played a central role in the Civil Rights struggle. World Footprints goes on a walking tour through history along the Civil Rights Heritage Trail as we step onto the grounds where African Americans confronted Jim Crow era voilence with non-voilent civil disobedience. We will also explore Kelly Ingram Park and Birmingham's 4th Avenue Business District and discuss the time when segregation made this the city's "Little Harlem".
Brimingham is also known for it's rich musicial traditions and we'll pay homage to two iconic musical figures: Henry "Gip" Gipson whose 'juke joint' is the last standing music venue of it's kind in Alabama. Gip's Place has welcomed musicians from all over the world and every Saturday music lovers travel miles for an all-night music tailgate party on a "Sanford and Son" style lot. We will also introduce Dr. Frank Adams, Sr., a charter member of the Alabama Hall of Fame, who regaled us with stories of his life, a musical set and his time playing with greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. Sadly, Doc Adams passed away only one month after our meeting with him. We are honored to showcase his music throughout today's show.
As a side note, our trip to Birmingham was a very pleasant surprise. We highly recommend a visit to Birmingham, Alabama. There's a lot waiting for visitors to discover in the city "where freedom lives".

DHS Agent Reveals U.S. to Collapse: Within 2015: PT.1#
An Agent from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, revealed to a local 21 year old that the United States will collapse into Martial Law within six (6) weeks.Going into 2015 Banks will be closed, credit / debit cards will not work. Those without food or cash will starve to death or be killed when they try taking food from those who have it.
Now listen carefully, stock up, and I mean stock up very good on food, guns and ammo. Because once it happens, you wont be able to buy it. Martial law will be declared, banks will have no cash, and stores will be out of food. If possible, move far away from the cities, because it is going to be like hell. And lastly, get your money out of the banks, because alot of banks are going to fail.
I said too much already, I have to go now, may God be with you and forgive us to doing this to your generation
And without saying another word, he left.
Seriously guys, ever since this encounter, Ive been shitting bricks!!! I’m already well prepared and with everything that is going on right now (banker suicides, and inside information that the US will collapse on March 4th). It looks like he is right!!

This episode will discuss the man in men if that makes sense. The primary focus is black males since I fall in that category. Discuss the role of a man and the history of our history. It is dynamic from any other American culture. We have to stay looking on the positive and not the negative. With holidays coming around and the mindset is family. I want to focus on the male role model. In our society the black male is depicted as a dangerous and endangered person. We are not either we do not need to change the majority perspective.
Dick B. discusses "old-school" A.A. and "the rest of the story" available to newcomers today.
