I am excited to Welcome Dave Tolliver From Men at Large to the Leopard Carpet Today!
Born in the city of Rock n Roll (Cleveland) David (Dave) Tolliver was destined for music success. Son of a Gospel singer, nephew of a nationally celebrated radio announcer and gold selling BMI award winning writer, and Grandson of a man who once sang for President Roosevelt what else was he to do. His future was preset like a wedding between two royal families. Starting at age 4 he began singing in the church and eventually directed the children's choir. By the age of 15 Dave was summoned to become a part-time radio announcer under his Uncle Lynn Tolliver. This brought instant success to a teenager in his junior year of high school. For 16 years he would successfully lock down the #1 spots of any time slot he held. During his radio tenure Dave also spent a stint in the Virgin Islands as co-host of the Big Fat Morning Show. During those radio days he would go on to interview some of music's biggest stars from Martin Lawrence to L.L. Cool J and many more. The world of the music for Dave started with a bang as the late great Gerald Levert handpickedDave and Jason Champion for Men At Large whom later would contribute to music history and topping charts and selling millions of albums.

Men At Large discovered by the late great Gerald Levert are the last of a dying breed! In 1992 Men At Large shocked the world with its self titled debut on the Atlantic Records label. Their first single "Use Me" became an instant radio hit inspiring B.E.T, to use it for a station jingle. They would go on to release 4 more singles from the cd. "You Me", "Umm Umm Good", "Would You Like to Dance", and the RnB Classic "So Alone" which made Billboard Hot 100 list and was radio's #1 song of the year in 1993. Traveling the world with its other 90's cohorts (Rude Boys, Shai, Silk, H-Town, Levert II, Next, etc) they would leave each city with the reputation of being "Show Stoppers!"
It didn't stop there in 1994 they released "One Size Fits All" gaining less success as the first but still garnering critical acclaim. Releasing 2 singles "Let's Talk About It" and "Holiday" top 10 and 20 respectively they continued to shock the world town by town. Being bred by Eddie and Gerald Levert gave these 2 an obvious advantage. As time moved on the duo would sever ties with the Levert camp only to find the next chapters not as plentiful as the beginning. Still riding off the success of its first 2 records the boys would continue to ride the rails of success as the people just couldn't get enough of the boys. In 1999 and 2007 they released "Love Struggle and Progress" and "Back on Top" doing mediocre numbers but plentiful on an independent level winning best group awards and independent video of the year nominations, only to lose to the great Kenny Rogers. As well as singing the men have appeared in over 23 stage plays, 7 movies and a host of judging, and hosting appearances across the country.

"Upfront & Straightforward" Host Alan Roger Currie leads another "Open Forum Discussion," with this one centering on how many men will respond to a woman's criticisms, insults, and/or lighthearted jabs with anger, frustration, insults of their own, or sensitivity ... and also how some men turn to a variation of 'stalking' a woman when they are egotistically frustrated and feel as though they have been unfairly and indefinitley ignored by a woman

As women, we want and deserve to have the same rights (and respect) as men. I don't care what anyone thinks; we birth males, there's absolutely no reason why my son (or any male) should have more rights than I do! The hell? However, there are a few exceptions! And it's not necessarily a "right," but us women have to understand, there's just some things we CANNOT and SHOULD NOT do as a female. Yes, if we want, we can definitely piss standing up, operate heavy machinery, change a tire and all the other things society considers a "man's job," but can we have multiple sex partners like men and not let feelings get involved? I know some women are reading this and saying "hell yeah we can!"....okay, I need for you to ladies to call in! As much as I want to believe we can, we're not built that way. And multiple sex partners? Forget what society thinks and the names you'll be called.....our vaginas are attached to something sacred - a womb! Sleeping around eventually catches up to you. I don't care how many kegels you do a day, there's no exercising the womb. Now I'm not saying a woman can't enjoy a fling here and there, but we have to be careful in the decisions we make. A woman would settle down with a man knowing he's had a VERY active sex life....not so much the other way around! A woman would have to move to another town cross country and just start over! lol but I'm serious! We'll talk more this Wednesday, so make sure you tune in to hear what our special guest, Comedian Barry Nalor has to say on this topic!
If you’ve gone through a distructive relationship, you may be struggling with upsetting emotions, frightening memories, or a sense of constant danger. Or you may feel numb, disconnected, and unable to trust other people. When bad relationships happen, it can take a while to get over the pain and feel safe again. Whether the traumatic relationship happened years ago or yesterday, you can heal and move on.
It’s not the objective facts that determine whether a relationship is traumatic, but your subjective emotional experience of the relationship. The more frightened and helpless you feel to move on , the more likely you are to be traumatized.

On Tonights Show of The Dymonds Radio Show, we will be discussing a topic DJ AG wants to address.
Polygamy. The practice of having one or more spouse.
Polygyny. A situation where a man has multiple wives.
Polyandry. A situation where a female has multiple husbands.
So tonight, we are asking, Why is it ok for a man to be in a polygamous relationship, but not socially acceptable for a women to be in one?
Double standard? Or is there a reason behind it?
