    in Culture

Host David J. Diamond welcomes colleagues, Roberta Levitow (Co-founder and Director of Theatre Without Borders) and Frank Hentschker (Executive Director of The Segal Center) to discuss issues of Artists Working Internationally. At the imminent launch of the Cultural Mobility Funding Guide for the U.S., we will discuss resources, challenges and strategies for artists who wish to travel to other countries to work in the theatre, do residencies, study and present work.

The colleagues, along with Marie Le Sourd of On the Move and others, have created the first Funding Guide of this kind in the United States. On January 7th, they present a full-day Symposium at the Segal Center in New York City to launch the Guide and grapple with the challenges faced by artists working internationally. With over 250 artists, administrators, funders and supporters from around the world, they will discuss issues ranging from visa and legal issues to arts-human rights work.

Listen in to learn valuable information from these extraordinary practitioners. Call in with your questions, share information and be part of the conversation about this important topic.

David J. Diamond  is a director, career coach, activist-artist and professor. He was recently certified as an Advanced Transformative Coach and was awarded for his Community Service by Theatre of the Oppressed New York City. He currently teaches or guest lectures at Columbia University, Yale School of Drama, DePaul University, University of Memphis and others. SWTS 523: Pro Talk: NFL Week 16, NHL Week 11

    in Sports

Join us for our pro talk segment on Sports With The StatMan on Wednesday at a special time, 11am ET.

The Eagles went from NFC East front-runner to missing out on the playoffs in a couple of short weeks. How did that happen? The clock struck midnight on Mark Sanchez. The Patriots and Jets played at MetLife Stadium for what is likely the last time with Rex Ryan coaching the Jets and Ryan's Jets gave the Patriots a run for their money. The Giants are salvaging their season and potentially coach Tom Coughlin's job with three straight wins behind the amazing play of Odell Beckham. ***

In hockey, the Rangers are the hottest team in hockey with seven straight wins, moving into third place in the Metropolitan Division. We will also cover the other locals and hot topics as we whip around the league at the Christmas break. ***
