As the population of the United States becomes more diverse and globally more interdependent, it is important that we all become engaged as multicultural global citizens. Whether it's for gaining essential job & life skills or enhancing our contributions as international citizens, the importance of understanding and respecting cultural differences is becoming a global imperative. Multicultural travel plays an important role in understanding cultural differences.  Multicultural travel provides leisure and education. It enhances the traveler’s knowledge of the histories, cultures, and contributions of diverse groups in our global society. Multicultural travel also promotes a higher quality of personal decision-making and critical thinking regarding issues of cultural pluralism. Multicultural tourism is the fastest growing segment in the travel industry. What is multicultural tourism, who actually travels and why is it important?

What Will You Be Ready To Do In The New Year?

    in Politics Conservative

We had a great "Ghosts of Goliad" Fundamentals of Rifle course this last weekend with the Central Texas Militia. They did a great job and we hope to work with them again in the future. They are doing their best to insure they have thew rifle skills to defend their selves and their loved ones, and the State of Texas and The Constitution of The United States. They are continuing to improve their education and skill sets.

We had a 10 minute class on beer making, as well as short discussions of alternate power and about water storage and purification. These folks are trying to learn how to become more self reliant and better prepared to handle situations which might arise during man made or natural cessation of services events.

The folks in the III%ers/Grid Down Communication Course the weekend before were doing the same. Learning to communicte when the normal systems go down

What are you doing to insure you have the ability to feed, defend and care for your family, loved ones and neighbors in the coming year?

Call in to add your voice to the discussion at 347-308-8790

Hoping you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    CHEF ELLIOTT'S ENTERTAINMENT SOLUTIONS

    in Entertainment

This week, Chef Elliott has the distinct honor of highlighting the culinary and sweet genius of the ”Award-Winning Pastry Chef To The Stars," THE "Suga Chef," Pastry Chef Padua Player! Chef Padua grew up cooking with his mom in the District of Columbia.  One of the first dishes Chef Padua created was a recipe taken from the kids section in a local DC newspaper. Any opportunity that arose for the budding pastry chef to help his mom in creating a family dish, he was front and center to soak in her culinary teachings. This contributed to his creative juices and he began to fashion up his own recipes for tasty quick bread mixes and assorted fruit cobblers. Chef Padua honed his skills and worked his way up the foodie ranks to plating desserts, which lead to him assisting the pastry chef two days a week. He moved on to his first baking stint and credits Pastry Chef, Susan McCreight Lindeborg as his mentor, picking up from where his mother had laid the culinary groundwork.

Chef Padua attended Baltimore International College, worked in the bakery at Marriott in  Georgetown University and went on to work at some of DC’s top catering houses and restaurants such as DC Coast, Café Milano, Notte Luna and Ceiba. He was reviewed by the famed DC food critic Phyllis Richman, who gave him, thumbs up on his desserts and received an official letter from Vice President Biden.

Chef Padua has appeared on the television show, Platinum Weddings, has been a contestant on Food Network’s Sweet Genius and also provided his pastry services for the late Chuck Brown, singer Macy Gray, comedian Bill Bellamy, actress Pam Grier, comedian Damon Wayans, and singer Crystal Waters.

Listen LIVE online or via LAN/mobile at 718-766-4964.

Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God is a New York Times bestseller from Timothy Keller - the celebrated founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Offering a fresh perspective on an age-old practice in Prayer, Keller addresses questions about our conversations with the divine that scholars from the twelve disciples to C.S. Lewis to Flannery O’Connor have all grappled with, including: How often should we pray—and what should we say? Why do some prayers go unanswered?”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:  Timothy Keller is the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, which he started in 1989 with his wife, Kathy, and three young sons.  For over twenty years he has led a diverse congregation of young professionals that has grown to a weekly attendance of over 5,000.
