We recap the Wisconsin Badgers 68-17 whooping of the Bowling Green Falcons. Has Melvin Gordon jumped back into the Heisman Trophy conversation? What were the turning points of the game for the Badgers? Did we learn anything from their performance Saturday?
We'll also play audio from Gordon, Tanner McEvoy, Derek Landisch, and Dare Ogunbowale from their post-game chats with the media.
Of course, we'll give our hot takes on the Green Bay Packers' 19-7 loss to the Detroit Lions. What happened with Aaron Rodgers and his receivers? Will Clay Matthews be out of action with a possible groin injury? Does this really affect anything for the NFC North so early in the season?
On Epsiode 14 of Mocking the Draft, SB Nation's NFL Draft podcast, hosts Dan Kadar and Matthew Fairburn unveil their updated position rankings for the 2014 NFL Draft. They also discuss the Eugene Monroe trade and how it will affect the 2014 NFL Draft. We also took some NFL Draft questions from the listeners.
So what happened after the Wisconsin Badgers went up 24-7 against the LSU Tigers? Where was Melvin Gordon in the second half? Why didn't head coach Gary Andersen know? What does this mean for Tanner McEvoy, the defensive line minus Warren Herring and Konrad Zagzebski possibly for a long time, and the 2014 season? We'll break it alllllll down tonight, and will read your thoughts TONIGHT ON AIR. Use #B5QLSU and we'll read some tonight!
Also, we'll replay Andersen's post-game press conference and McEvoy's talk with reporters afterwards as well.
Is your faith in Wisconsin quarterback Tanner McEvoy restored after his 23-for-28, 283-yard, three touchdown pass performance against the Leathernecks of Western Illinois? Let us know!
BadgerNation.com's Ben Worgull pops on the show to talk about the Badgers' victory from Saturday. Did McEvoy answer some of his critics, especially after he completed 17 straight passes? What are his perceptions of the odd week that was at Camp Randall Stadium regarding Joel Stave and Melvin Gordon? After a bye week this week, what can Badgers fans expect from the team when they face the Bowling Green Falcons on September 20th? Also, after a horrible week by the Big Ten Conference, did it really affect the conference's chances at getting a playoff berth in the College Football Playoff?
From the positive victory for the Badgers, to the horrible loss by the Green Bay Packers Thursday night. How did Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks dismantle Dom Capers' defense? And will the injury to Bryan Bulaga force the team to look outside of its walls for a capable back-up?
Plus, the Milwaukee Brewers' slide continues. Losing 13 of 16, the team now needs to fight back to hold a playoff position. After being manhandled by the St. Louis Cardinals, can they? We'll discuss.
Don't forget postgame audio from other Badgers football players, too!
Coming up on The Melvin Jones Show tonight...we'll take a look back at Week 4 in the NFL, week 5 in College football, as well as preview Tuesday's AL Wild Card Game and take a look back at this past Saturday's UFC 178. That's coming up tonight on The Melvin Jones Show. 1am ET/10pm PT!!
You want a BIG football show? Well, we got you a B1G one indeed!
On tonight's show, we'll lead off with Green Bay Packers linebacker Sam Barrington. How has he gotten himself mentally and physically ready for the grind of training camp?
Of course, we'll sprinkle audio from Wisconsin Badgers Melvin Gordon, Rob Havenstein, and Warren Herring from Big Ten Media Days in Chicago!
At 8 p.m., we'll talk with former Badgers guard Mike Flowers about his new basketball camp. What was the catalyst that made him decide to start one?
At 8:30 p.m., Brian Carriveau from Cheesehead TV helps us preview the Packers' offense and break down the Jordy Nelson deal. Is Randall Cobb next, and can former Badgers walk-on Jared Abbrederis make the roster?
Plus, Milwaukee Brewers talk - can they hold the lead in the NL Central, and will they make a deal at the trade deadline?
Variety Radio Online On Tuesday's we'll discuss the highlights of the latest episode of Gotham - feel free to email your thoughts to email@example.com and we'll read them on our recap show.
Join the live chat while the show in LIVE - Tuesday's at 10pm ET.
Detectives Gordon and Bullock investigate a child trafficking ring preying on Gotham's street kids, including Selina Kyle. Meanwhile, Penguin resurfaces in the countryside and begins to make his way back to GOTHAM, leaving victims in his wake.
Inspired by Deborah Willis' book, Reflections in Black, THROUGH A LENS DARKLY (Willis is also a co-producer) casts a broad net that begins with filmmaker Thomas Allen Harris’s family album. It considers the difference between black photographers who use the camera to define themselves, their people, and their culture and some white photographers who, historically, have demeaned African-Americans through racist imagery. The film embraces both historical material (African-Americans who were slaves, who fought in the Civil War, were victims of lynchings, or were pivotal in the Civil Rights Movement) and contemporary images made by such luminaries as Roy DeCarava, Gordon Parks, and Carrie Mae Weems. The film is a cornucopia of Americana that reveals deeply disturbing truths about the history of race relations while expressing joyous, life-affirming sentiments about the ability of artists and amateurs alike to assert their identity through the photographic lens.
Note: The Digital Diaspora Family Reunion Roadshow is an interactive project that ties-in with the film. For more details, go to www.1World1Family.me.
