On Epsiode 14 of Mocking the Draft, SB Nation's NFL Draft podcast, hosts Dan Kadar and Matthew Fairburn unveil their updated position rankings for the 2014 NFL Draft. They also discuss the Eugene Monroe trade and how it will affect the 2014 NFL Draft. We also took some NFL Draft questions from the listeners.
You want a BIG football show? Well, we got you a B1G one indeed!
On tonight's show, we'll lead off with Green Bay Packers linebacker Sam Barrington. How has he gotten himself mentally and physically ready for the grind of training camp?
Of course, we'll sprinkle audio from Wisconsin Badgers Melvin Gordon, Rob Havenstein, and Warren Herring from Big Ten Media Days in Chicago!
At 8 p.m., we'll talk with former Badgers guard Mike Flowers about his new basketball camp. What was the catalyst that made him decide to start one?
At 8:30 p.m., Brian Carriveau from Cheesehead TV helps us preview the Packers' offense and break down the Jordy Nelson deal. Is Randall Cobb next, and can former Badgers walk-on Jared Abbrederis make the roster?
Plus, Milwaukee Brewers talk - can they hold the lead in the NL Central, and will they make a deal at the trade deadline?
A LOT to get to this week!
We'll recap the Wisconsin Badgers' first scrimmage that happened Sunday morning. Who looked more impressive at quarterback: Joel Stave or Tanner McEvoy? Did the young wide receivers impress? Who stood out on the young defense?
We'll talk with BadgerBlitz' John Veldhuis about his impressions from the first camp as well.
B5Q editor Mike Fiammetta talked with Big Ten Network's Dave Revsine last week about his new book, "The Opening Kickoff." Which former Wisconsin legend did Revsine initially want to write the book about? He'll tell you!
Of course, Scotty and I will discuss the Milwaukee Brewers' homestand against the NL West leading teams, the Green Bay Packers first preseason game (did Scott Tolzien look good?), and the unfortunate accident involving Tony Stewart.
On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles; we talk about today's Pure Michigan 400 @ Michigan. Jeff Gordon goes on to win his 91st career race. After a win at Indianapolis, he had strong runs at both Pocono and Watkin's Glen before mechanical failures. Today, he was able to put it all together for the 91st time in his career. A topic that will be talked about in every win from here on out... Is David Pearson catchable?
Joey Logano ran a great race. Todd Gordon very very very interesting pit strategy. Didn't take as much gas as others, gambling for the win, and it nearly paid off. Got the cautions he needed. With this team being esentially locked into the chase, is that the reason for this gamble?
Denny Hamlin's comments: "We just can't accelerate down the straightaway like that. Hendrick teams "should be embarrased that we were on their rear bumper... We're just slow. That's the best we've ran here in a long time. We'll just have to brave through it."
Kyle Busch bad luck again. Ryan Newman and Jimmie Johnson twice tapped Newman to get passed him. Newman made a comment on it.
Brad hits the wall and finishes in the top-10. Jimmie too great recovery for those guys. Jimmie broke his shifter.
And we've been challenged to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge....
It's time to think positive as the dynamic duo returns to the air waves to look back at two weeks of action. Dustin Parks and Patti Rodisch are not looking at what the sport lost, but instead what it has gained.
From A.J. Allmendinger having his breakout moment at Watkins Glen to Jeff Gordon gaining even more momentum at Michigan, these two are all over the last two weeks of action. Plus, Tuesday was Joe Gibbs Racing's special announcement at their headquarters. What exactly was revealed, and what does it mean for the future of the team?
That, and even a look at one of the most popular, and most anticipated races of the year, the night race at Bristol. How many sparks will fly when these drivers take to the Bull Ring for the second time this year, and in an ironic twist the second night race at the track this year?
The green flag on the program waves at 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT.
