Marcio Melo is a figurative painter. His painting can be characterized as bold and colourful, ranging from stylized to realistic. He typically works from imagination and his themes run from Brazilian Candomblé Saints to Canadian wildlife and everything in between. The paintings typically include people or animals, often with fantastic or spiritual imagery as elements. Marcio works in watercolour, acrylics, oils and crayon conté. He works mainly on paper and canvas. Often he handpaints the frames, matching them to the painting, or sometimes the painting extends into the area of the frame.
Marcio came to Canada from Brazil in 1987. He feels comfortable with the languages and culture, and has made Canada his home. In Brazil, Marcio worked in architecture and design, mainly in heritage preservation in the four-century-old cities of Recife and Olinda.

Cleanthony Ealry. Reviewing the Knicks draft picks and more!
The folks in Houston are hoping they have a good shot to land Carmelo Anthony in free agency.
Or LeBron James, for that matter, should he somehow find Houston more appealing than remaining in Miami or returning to Cleveland.
In my opinion, 'Melo's choices rank like this: New York, Dallas, Houston/Chicago, with the latter two tied for third. Money is going to be a factor, and the fact that the Knicks can work off a starting salary of $23.2 million and offer a five-year deal is ultimately going to be to their benefit.
What will work against the Knicks is the lack of state income taxes in Texas. That is the great equalizer that the Rockets, Mavs, and even the Spurs can use to their recruiting advantage year after year after year.
More on free agency, the draft, and the Cavs' chances of getting James to return in this podcast from Sports Radio 610 in Houston with hosts Mike Meltser and Seth Payne.

This week we probe further into The "LebronBomb" that shook up the NBA with his return back to the Cleveland Cavs. In New York, Spike Lee can finally get some sleep now that Melo has gone and done "The Right Thing" by resigning with the Knicks. In Miami, the heat has been "turnt up" to retool, so is Pat Riley ready to breathe fire on the league? In Chicago, while they were not able to bring in their Melo Drama, they may have found a suitable replacement that might propel them as favorites in the Central. We'll tell you who.
In Houston , The Rockets rolled the dice a bevy of free agent prospects and when the dust settled, they had a "fistfull of dollars" and a free agent committment full of "lint". Well breakdown a very bizzare and unsatisfying summer of free agency for a team who had a strong showing in the Western Conference a year ago.

Report and my man Shaw will give you his coveted Summer League Update, direct from the UNLV Campus on the highly anticipated match between Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins.
