    Dialing in ADHD Stimulant Medications

    in Self Help

Got attention deficit hyperactivity disorder? Ever consider taking medications as part of your treatment plan? Have you ever taken them but they didn’t seem to work? Side effects were more than you can handle? Felt like a zombie? When it comes to prescribing ADHD medications, it's not like “take two aspirin and call me in the morning.” There is an art to getting the right drug in the right dose for the right duration. In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, we interview Dr. David Pomeroy (www.addcenterofbellevue.com) and discuss specifically how he goes about working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD to find medications that work for them and minimize side effects that don’t produce that zombie-like feeling. If you are open to taking meds, then get an education around how to do it right. You won’t want to miss this show.

Attention Talk Radio is the leading site for self-help Internet radio shows focusing on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD), including managing symptoms of attention deficit disorder, adults with ADD, or adults who have children with ADHD. Attention Talk Radio, hosted by attention coach Jeff Copper, is designed to help adults and children (particularly those diagnosed with or impacted by attention deficit disorder or its symptoms) in life or business who are stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated. It will help adults and children get unstuck and moving forward by helping to open their minds and pay attention to what works. Attention Talk Radio host Jeff Copper is an ADHD coach. What is your relationship with prescription medications?

    in Health

Are you demanding drugs from your physician?  Are antidepressants the fix all in a life that may be challenging?  Are drugs the answer to shut down behavior that is deemed unacceptable?  What do you do when a drug causes a complication that is out of your control?  How do you find control in your life again?  Is drug abuse something that came up in the last few decades?  Perhaps abuse has been around for centuries?

Cynthia Hearne Darling, author of Shunned:  Outcasts in the Land is a muckraker against the antidepressant industry as a story about what happens to people who go against society prevailing mores.  Cynthia shares her own experiences with antidepressant use in her family unit and all the complications that come with taking these drugs.  While it is a novel, it correlates to what people are experiencing with taking drugs, trying to get off them and the fatal consequences of many drugs.

There are so many dangers in today's prescription drugs. The strength & addictive nature of these drugs, the high cost, the risk of our kids sneaking them, the street dollar value, the risk of your medical professional not paying attention to the multiple of drugs you or a person you care for might be taking, or how those drugs might effect/counter-effect one another; these are just some of the first things that come up. Connecting The Dots-With Jason Gould

    in Entrepreneur

    Chiropractor

BSc (Hons), MChiro, (DC Doctor of Chiropractic)

Dr Jason Gould started his career with a degree in Pharmacology and soon realised that it was not the medications themselves that inspired him, but the reward of helping people and seeing them get better. As such, Jason chose to pursue Chiropractic as his career. He went on to graduate from the world-leading chiropractic college, AECC (Anglo European College of Chiropractic).

After working in a number of different clinics, Jason decided to set up an award-winning practice with his wife Tara in 2007 and they love to support the local community. He is an expert in looking after sports injuries and finds real pleasure in keeping players of golf, rugby, tennis, football, martial arts and many more sports in top form. After working in these areas, he has also looked after the England karate squad and is a member of the British Chiropractic Sports Council (BCSC).

Other than working with professional athletes, Jason’s clinic consists of patients of all ages from four days to 98 years old and also teaches at chiropractic colleges as a guest lecturer as well as teaching groups of professional chiropractors.

“If there’s one thing that I love most about the body is that we all have an incredible capacity for healing and repair and that by restoring movement and removing nerve interference through chiropractic, lifestyle advice and specific exercises, in many cases we can provide substantial relief from a number of painful conditions without risking the various side effects associated with taking medications or more invasive procedures.”
